Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah kelebihan manusia yang sempurna dan lengkap secara lahir dan batin yang tercurahkan dalam sebuah karya sastra yang harus diketahui oleh masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) struktur cerita dalam roman Rangga Maléla dan (2) etnopedagogi dalam roman Rangga Maléla. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif analitik dengan menggunakan studi pustaka. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah sumber dari buku roman Rangga Maléla dan sumber lain yang mendukung. Hasilnya, terdapat: (1) struktur cerita yang terdiri dari tema, fakta cerita (alur, tokoh/watak, dan latar) dan sarana sastra (judul dan sudut pandang). Tema dalam roman Rangga Maléla menggambarkan politik yang terjadi di kerajaan. Alurnya campuran, menceritakan kejadian yang sudah berlalu. Latar tempat dari roman ini yaitu berkisah di sungai, kerajaan, pedepokan, guha, dll. Latar waktu yang terdapat dalam roman ini menggunakan waktu yang faktual. Latar sosial menggambarkan tingkatan masarakat kelas atas dan kelas rendah. Ada 31 karakter tokoh yang tergambar dalam roman ini, sedangkan sifatnya ada yang baik mandiri, simpati, licik, dll. Adanya keterkaitan antara judul dan isi cerita. Sudut pandang yang digunakan pengarang yaitu orang ketiga tidak terbatas; (2) etnopédagogi Sunda terbagi menjadi empat, pertama, taat beragama. Kedua, budaya yang luas. Ketiga, tinggi ilmunya. Keempat, kerja bagus tergambar secara jelas di dalam roman ini. The background of this research is the superiority of a perfect and complete human being physically and mentally which is poured out in a literary work that must be known by the publics. This study aims to describe: (1) the structure of the story in the novel Rangga Maléla and (2) ethnopedagogy in the novel Rangga Maléla. This research method is descriptive analytic method using literature study. The data sources used are sources from the romance book Rangga Maléla and other supporting sources. As a result, there are: (1) story structure consisting of theme, story facts (plot, character/character, setting) and literary means (title and point of view). The theme in the short novel Pileuleuyan describes the politics that took place in the kingdom. The plot is mixed, telling the events that have passed. The setting of this novel is the story of a river, kingdom, pedepokan, cave, etc. The time setting in this novel uses factual time. The social background describes the levels of the upper and lower classes of society. There are 31 characters depicted in this novel, while the characters are independent, sympathetic, cunning, etc. There is a relationship between the title and the content of the story. The point of view used by the author is unlimited third person; (2) ethnopédagogy is divided into four, first, religious observance. Second, broad culture. Third, high knowledge. Fourth, good work is clearly depicted in this novel.
