Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya keterampilan mengolah informasi siswa dalam pembelajaran sejarah. Indikasi tersebut terlihat dari kemampuan mencari dan mengolah hasil informasi yang didapatkan. Mengingat kondisi saat ini juga sedang terjadinya penyebaran virus Covid-19 maka pembelajaran di sekolah dilakukan secara daring (online). Dari permasalahan tersebut, maka peneliti merumuskan permasalahan yang diambil dalam penelitian ini yakni Bagaimana upaya meningkatkan keterampilan mengolah informasi siswa dalam pembelajaran sejarah dengan menerapkan strategi SQ3R pada aplikasi Google Classroom dan website PDF Search Engine. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan mengolah informasi siswa dalam pembelajaran sejarah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan desain penelitian yang dikembangkan oleh Kemmis dan Taggart yang terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan mengolah informasi siswa dalam pembelajaran sejarah mengalami peningkatan pada setiap siklusnya. Peningkatan tersebut dapat dilihat dari tercapainya skor yang sangat baik pada indikator mengolah informasi seperti mengakses informasi secara efisien dan efektif, mengumpulkan informasi, mengevaluasi informasi secara kritis, menggunakan informasi secara akurat, dan menyajikan informasi secara kreatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, penerapan strategi pembelajaran SQ3R dapat menjadi solusi untuk meningkatkan keterampilan mengolah informasi siswa dalam pembelajaran sejarah. ABSTRACT This research is entitled "Application of SQ3R Strategy (Survey, Question, Read, Recite, and Review) as an Effort to Improve Students Information Processing Skills in History Learning (Action Research Class XI MIPA 2 SMA Negeri 14 Bandung)". This research is motivated by the low skills of processing students information in learning history. These indications can be seen from the ability to search and process the information obtained. Given the current condition of the spread of the Covid-19 virus, learning in schools is carried out online. From these problems, the researchers formulated the problems taken in this study, namely how to improve students information processing skills in learning history by applying the SQ3R strategy to the Google Classroom application and the PDF Search Engine website. This study aims to improve students information processing skills in learning history. This study aims to improve students information processing skills in learning history. This study uses classroom action research (CAR) with a research design developed by Kemmis and Taggart consisting of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The results of this study indicate that students information processing skills in history learning have increased in each cycle. This increase can be seen from the achievement of excellent scores on indicators of processing information such as accessing information efficiently and effectively, gathering information, evaluating information critically, using information accurately, and presenting information creatively. Based on the research results, the application of the SQ3R learning strategy can be a solution to improve students information processing skills in history learning.
