Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh perubahan zaman dalam dunia pendidikan yang saat ini erat kaitannya dengan revolusi industri 4.0 dan masyarakat 5.0 sehingga mengharuskan setiap pelaku pendidikan mengubah cara pandang dalam belajar dengan cara mengembangkan inovasi pembelajaran sehingga dapat meningkatkan keterampilan abad ke-21 pada siswa. Data hasil PISA tahun 2018 menunjukan kemampuan literasi negara Indonesia sangatlah mengkhawatirkan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan suatu model pembelajaran yang dapat memberi kebaruan dalam pembelajaran sehingga mampu untuk menunjang keberhasilan anak dalam menganalisis cerpen. Salah satunya yaitu dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Meaningful Instructional Design (MID). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model MID terhadap kemampuan menganalisis cerpen siswa kelas IV SD dan mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan menganalisis cerpen siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran menggunakan model MID dengan siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran menggunakan model Inquiry. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu quasi eksperimen dengan the non-equivalent control-group design. Populasi yang diambil adalah siswa kelas IV SDN 057 Binaharapan, dengan sampel dua kelas yang berbeda dari satu sekolah yang sama. Hasil analisis data pretest dan posttest kelas eksperimen menunjukan adanya pengaruh model MID terhadap kemampuan menganalisis cerpen siswa kelas IV SD. Hasil analisis data kedua rerata kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol menunjukan terdapat perbedaan kemampuan menganalisis cerpen siswa kelas IV SD yang memperoleh model MID dengan siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran model Inquiry. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model MID berpengaruh baik terhadap kemampuan menganalisis cerpen siswa kelas IV SD sehingga model MID ini dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu model yang dapat digunakan guru dalam pembelajaran. ----- This research is motivated by the changing times in the world of education which is currently closely related to the industrial revolution 4.0 and society 5.0 so that it requires every education actor to change his perspective in learning by developing learning innovations so that they can improve 21st century skills in students. The 2018 PISA data shows that the literacy ability of the Indonesian state is very worrying. Therefore, we need a learning model that can provide novelty in learning so that it is able to support children's success in analyzing short stories. One of them is by applying the learning model Meaningful Instructional Design (MID). The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the application of the MID model on the ability to analyze short stories of 4th grade elementary school students and to determine the difference in the ability to analyze short stories of students who received learning using the MID model and students who received learning using the Inquiry model. The research method used is quasi-experimental with the non-equivalent control-group design. The population is the 4th grade students of SDN 057 Binaharapan, with a sample of two different classes from the same school. The results of the pretest and posttest data analysis of the experimental class showed the influence of the MID model on the ability to analyze short stories of 4th grade elementary school students. The results of data analysis on the average of the experimental class and the control class showed that there were differences in the ability to analyze short stories of 4th grade elementary school students who received the MID model with students who received the Inquiry model learning. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that the MID model has a good effect on the ability to analyze short stories of 4th grade elementary school students, so this MID model can be used as a model that can be used by teachers in learning.
