Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh minimnya penggunaan media pembelajaran dalam kegiatan pembelajaran khususnya materi membaca permulaan di Sekolah Dasar. Siswa kelas I mengalami kesulitan membaca karena dalam kegiatan pembelajaran guru belum memberikan pembelajaran yang menyenangkan sehingga antusias siswa dalam pembelajaran membaca menjadi rendah dan menganggap pembelajaran membaca sebagai pembelajaran yang membosankan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan tersebut dengan mengembangkan media pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan semangat siswa dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan berupa Flashcard yang proses pembuatannya dengan menggunakan aplikasi Canva berdasarkan metode penelitian Design and Development yang diadopsi oleh Richey dan Klein. Penelitian ini menggunakan tahap PPE (Planning, Production, dan Evaluation). Penelitian ini melibatkan tiga orang ahli untuk memvalidasi kelayakan media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan. Instrument yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa wawancara, worklogs, dan angket validasi ahli. Dalam proses pengembangannya, media pembelajaran melalui tiga tahap revisi dengan dua kali proses validasi tiap ahli dengan catatan perbaikan yang diberikan untuk meningkatkan kualitas media. Penilaian ahli tersebut dihitung menggunakan Skala Likert dan diolah menjadi data kualitatif. Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan dari penilaian ahli pada validasi akhir menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran Flashcard sangat layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia materi membaca permulaan dengan rata-rata nilai keseluruhan 91,7%. ABSTRACT MEDIA DEVELOPMENT OF FLASHCARD BY CANVA ON BASIC READING FOR 1ST GRADE IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL By: Agnes Devita Maeswaty 1701407 This research is motivated by the lack of use of learning media in learning activities, especially early reading material in elementary schools. First grade students have difficulty reading because in learning activities the teacher has not provided fun learning so that students' enthusiasm in learning to read is low and considers learning to read as boring learning. The purpose of this research is to solve these problems by developing learning media that can increase students' enthusiasm in learning activities. The learning media developed was in the form of Flashcards, the process of which was made using the Canva application based on the Design and Development research method adopted by Richey and Klein.. This study uses the PPE (Planning, Production, and Evaluation) stages. This study involved three experts to validate the feasibility of the developed learning media. The instruments used in this study were interviews, worklogs, and expert validation questionnaires. In the development process, the learning media went through three stages of revision with two validation processes for each expert with notes of improvement given to improve the quality of the media. The expert's assessment was calculated using a Likert Scale and processed into qualitative data. The results of the research obtained from expert assessments in the final validation show that the Flashcard learning media is very suitable to be used in learning Indonesian early reading material with an overall average value of 91.7%.
