Abstract

Penelitian ini berlatar belakang karena saat ini pemahaman konsep siswa terhadap materi pemanfaatan Sumber Daya Alam masih cukup rendah, siswa merasa kesulitan untuk memahami materi yang dipelajarinya. Selain itu, guru harus memberikan sebuah alternatif untuk mempermudah penyampaian konsep materi Sumber Daya Alam dengan memanfaatkan media video pembelajaran. Pertanyaan penelitian ini adalah apakah terdapat pengaruh penggunaan media video pembelajaran terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa kelas IV pada konten pemanfaatan Sumber Daya Alam dengan tujuan penelitian yaitu untuk menganalisis pengaruh media video pembelajaran terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa kelas IV pada materi IPS konten pemanfaatan Sumber Daya Alam. Metode penelitian ini yaitu quasi eksperiment dengan desain Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV SDN Panyingkiran III dan SDN Cilengkrang. Berdasarkan perolehan penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh media video pembelajaran terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar pada materi IPS konten pemanfaatan Sumber Daya Alam. Siswa dapat menjelaskan konsep yang dipelajarinya secara representatif, siswa dapat menyatakan ulang konsep yang dipelajarinya, siswa dapat memilih prosedur tertentu berdasarkan konsep yang dipelajarinya, dan siswa juga sudah dapat menggunakan konsep untuk memecahkan suatu permasalahan. ----- The background of this research is that currently students' understanding of the concept of using natural resources is still quite low, students find it difficult to understand the material they are learning. In addition, teachers must provide an alternative to facilitate the delivery of the concept of Natural Resources material by utilizing learning video media. The question of this research is whether there is an effect of using instructional video media on the understanding of the concepts of fourth grade students on the content of utilization of Natural Resources with the aim of the research being to analyze the effect of learning video media on the understanding of the concepts of fourth graders on the content of natural resources utilization social studies. This research method is a quasi-experimental design with Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The research subjects were fourth grade students at SDN Panyingkiran III and SDN Cilengkrang. Based on the results of the study, it showed that there was an influence of learning video media on the understanding of the concepts of fourth grade elementary school students in social studies material on the use of natural resources. Students can explain the concepts they are learning representatively, students can restate the concepts they have learned, students can choose certain procedures based on the concepts they are learning, and students are also able to use concepts to solve a problem.
