Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya variasi metode pembelajaran yang dilakukan guru dalam menerapkan model pembelajaran serta mengakibatkan kurang maksimal hasil belajar siswa . Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar sebelum menggunakan metode mind mapping, mengetahui aktivitas siswa ketika proses pembelajaran menggunakan metode Mind Mapping. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V yang berjumlah 25 siswa. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah observasi, tes,dokumentasi. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa hasil belajar siswa sebelum diterapkan metode mind mapping menunjukan presentase siswa yang tuntas belajar sebesar 28%. Aktivitas siswa pada siklus I menunjukan presentase 42,45% dengan kategori tingkat aktivitas sedang, pada siklus II menunjukan presentase 72,13% dengan kategori tingkat aktivitas sangat tinggi. Hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I setelah diterapkan metode mind mapping menunjukan presentase yang tuntas sebesar 44%, pada siklus II menunjukan presentase yang tuntas belajar sebesar 92%. ----- This research is motivated by the lack of variations in the learning methods used by the teacher in applying the learning model and resulting in less than optimal student learning outcomes. This study aims to determine learning outcomes before using the mind mapping method, to find out student activities when the learning process uses the Mind Mapping method. This type of research is classroom action research (CAR) using the Kemmis and Taggart spiral model. The subjects of this study were the fifth grade students of SDN 3 Nagri Kaler, totaling 25 students. The research instruments used were observation, tests, and documentation. The research data were analyzed descriptively, qualitatively and quantitatively. The results showed that student learning outcomes before the mind mapping method was applied showed the percentage of students who had completed learning by 28%. Student activity in the first cycle showed a percentage of 42.45% with a moderate activity level category, in the second cycle showed a percentage of 72.13% with a very high activity level category. Student learning outcomes in the first cycle after the mind mapping method was applied showed the percentage of students who had completed learning by 44%, in the second cycle the percentage of students who had completed learning was 92%.
