Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kemampuan siswa serta rendahnya kemampuan siswa kelas IV SDN 1 Munjuljaya dalam membacakan puisi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan membacakan puisi pada siswa kelas IV di SDN 1 Munjuljaya. Penelitian ini termasuk ke dalam jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriptif, menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data wawancara, tes dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SDN 1 Munjuljaya yang berjumlah 27 siswa. Digunakan teknik purposive sampling dalam pengambilan data dan siswa yang diteliti berjumlah 10 siswa. Penelitian ini memaparkan kemampuan membaca puisi siswa dan faktor yang menyebabkan rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam membaca puisi di kelas IV SDN 1 Munjuljaya. Kemampuan awal membaca puisi sebagian siswa memiliki kualitas yang cukup rendah. Baik dari aspek penghayatan, gerak maupun intonasi. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui tes membaca puisi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan membaca puisi siswa kelas IV SDN 1 Munjuljaya cukup rendah. Faktor penyebab rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam membacakan puisi diklasifikasikan menjadi dua faktor yaitu faktor internal dan faktor eksternal. Faktor internal yaitu, kurangnya percaya diri siswa dalam membaca puisi, rendahnya minat, semangat serta motivasi siswa terhadap pembelajaran puisi. Kemudian dari faktor eksternal yaitu dari lingkungan sosial dan non sosial. Pada lingkungan sosial ditemukan hasil bahwa rendahnya dukungan, motivasi, serta perhatian dari orang tua terhadap siswa, guru tidak menggunakan metode pembelajaran yang variatif dan menarik. ----- This research was motivated by the ability of students and the low ability of fourth grade students at SDN 1 Munjuljaya in reading poetry. This study aims to determine the ability to read poetry in fourth grade students at SDN 1 Munjuljaya. This research belongs to the type of descriptive qualitative research, using interview, test and documentation data collection techniques. The subjects of this study were the fourth grade students of SDN 1 Munjuljaya, totaling 27 students. Purposive sampling technique used in data collection and the number of students studied were 10 students. This study describes the students' poetry reading ability and the factors that cause the students' low ability to read poetry in the fourth grade of SDN 1 Munjuljaya. Some students' initial ability to read poetry has a fairly low quality. Both from the aspect of appreciation, movement and intonation. The research data was collected through a poetry reading test. The results showed that the poetry reading ability of the fourth grade students of SDN 1 Munjuljaya was quite low. The factors causing the low ability of students to read poetry are classified into two factors, namely internal factors and external factors. Internal factors, namely, the lack of self-confidence of students in reading poetry, low interest, enthusiasm and motivation of students towards poetry learning. Then from external factors, namely from the social and non-social environment. In the social environment, it was found that the low support, motivation, and attention from parents towards students, teachers did not use varied and interesting learning methods.
