Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang media podcast menggunakan metode project based learning sebagai bantuan media dalam mengajarkan menceritakan kembali teks fabel. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan menceritakan kembali isi teks fabel serta melihat adakah perbedaan yang signifikan dalam kemampuan menceritakan kembali isi teks fabel pada siswa SMPN 14 Cimahi. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian kuantitaif eksperimen atau eksperimen kuasi, karena penelitian ini menganalisis hasil data prates dan pascates dalam menceritakan kembali isi teks fabel. Data diambil selama bulan Juli dan Agustus tahun 2021. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan teknik tes (prates dan pascates). Data kemudian diidentifikasi dan dianalisis menggunakan aplikasi ibm spss 25 untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Adapun hasil penelitian yaitu, kemampuan pesereta didik kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol dengan rata-rata hasil prates 37,66 > 14,00 dan rata-rata hasil pascates 91,00 > 75,3. Media podcast efektif digunakan pada kelas eksperimen dibandingkan bahan bacaan pada kelas kontrol. Hal ini dibuktikan pada Uji Mann-Whitney (Gain) yang membuktikan hasil signifikasi 0,010. Apabila nilai sig 0,010 < 0,05, maka hipotesis diterima. Dari tuturan yang telah dianalisis, peneliti menemukan perbedaan hasil yang signifikan dari kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa media podcast efektif digunakan pada pembelajaran menceritakan kembali teks fabel menggunakan metode project based learning. This study discusses podcast media using the project based learning method as media assistance in teaching retelling of fabel texts. The purpose of this study was to determine the ability to retell the contents of the fabel text and to see if there was a significant difference in the ability to retell the content of the fabel text at SMPN 14 Cimahi. This research is included in experimental quantitative research or quasi-experimental research, because this study analyzes the results of pre-test and post-test data in retelling the contents of fabel texts. The data were taken during July and August 2021. The data collection technique in this study was carried out using a test technique (pre-test and post-test). The data were then identified and analyzed using the ibm spss 25 application to determine the significant difference in results between the experimental and kontrol classes. The results of the study, namely, the ability of the experimental class students was higher than the control class with an average pretest result of 37.66 > 14.00 and an average posttest result of 91.00 > 75.3. Podcast media is effectively used in the experimental class compared to reading material in the control class. This is evidenced in the Mann-Whitney Test (Gain) which proves the significance result of 0.010. If the value of sig 0.010 <0.05, then the hypothesis is accepted. From the speeches that have been analyzed, the researcher found a significant difference in the results of the experimental class and the control class. Based on these results, the researcher concludes that podcast media is effectively used in learning to retell fable texts using the project based learning method.
