Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari penggunaan pendekatan matematika realistik terhadap peningkatan kemampuan penjumlahan pecahan matematika pada siswa tunanetra kelas V SDLB. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan pendekatan Single Subject Research (SSR) dan desain A-B-A’. Subjek penelitian merupakan siswa kelas V SDLB terdiri dari subjek TNF dan subjek IS di SLBN A Citeureup Kota Cimahi yang mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami konsep penjumlahan pecahan. Pengambilan data dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan tes kemampuan konsep penjumlahan pecahan dan observasi. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis melalui statistik deskriptif dan disajikan dalam bentuk tabel serta grafik dengan komponen yang ada pada analisis dalam kondisi dan analisis antar kondisi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya peningkatan mean level pada ketiga fase. Mulai dari fase baseline-1 (A-1) subjek TNF dan subjek IS memperoleh presentase 43,33%, fase intervensi (B) subjek TNF memperoleh 68% dan subjek IS memperoleh 65,33%, pada fase baseline-2 (A-2) subjek TNF memperoleh 84,44% dan subjek IS memperoleh 82,22%. Subjek pun mencapai lebih dari 75% dari indikator yang harus dicapai, baik dari konsep pecahan maupun penjumlahan pecahan. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan pendekatan matematika realistik terhadap peningkatan kemampuan konsep penjumlahan pecahan pada siswa tunanetra kelas V SDLB di SLBN A Citeureup. Peneliti merekomendasikan pendekatan matematika realistik dapat dijadikan salah satu alternatif metode pembelajaran yang dapat diterapkan oleh guru dalam meningkatkan kemampuan penjumlahan pecahan siswa tunanetra dibantu dengan media-media yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan kemampuan siswa. This study aims to determine the effect of using a realistic mathematics education to increase the ability to add mathematical fractions to visually impaired students in class V SDLB. The method used in this research is quantitative research. This research is an experimental research with approach Single Subject Research (SSR) and A-B-A' design. The research subjects were students of class V SDLB consisting of TNF subjects and IS subjects at SLBN A Citeureup Cimahi City who had difficulty understanding the concept of adding fractions. Data collection was carried out using the ability test of the concept of adding fractions and observation. The data obtained were analyzed through descriptive statistics and presented in the form of tables and graphs with existing components in the analysis under conditions and analysis between conditions. The results showed that there was an increase in the mean level in the three phases. Starting from the phase baseline-1(A-1) TNF subjects and IS subjects obtained a percentage of 43.33%, the intervention phase (B) TNF subjects obtained 68% and IS subjects obtained 65.33%, in the phase baseline-2 (A- 2) TNF subjects got 84.44% and IS subjects got 82.22%. Subjects also achieved more than 75% of the indicators that must be achieved, both from the concept of fractions and addition of fractions. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the use of a realistic mathematics education to increase the ability of the concept of adding fractions to the visually impaired students of class V SDLB at SLBN A Citeureup. The researcher recommends that a realistic mathematics education can be used as an alternative learning method that can be applied by teachers in improving the ability to add fractions for visual impairment students assisted by media that are in accordance with the needs and abilities of students.
