Abstract

Penelitian ini menjelaskan mengenai analisis kesalahan penggunaan tanda baca dalam karangan narasi siswa kelas II SDN 8 Nagrikaler. Penelitian ini termasuk kedalam penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang mendeskripsikan kesalahan tanda baca dalam karangan narasi siswa kelas II SDN 8 Nagrikaler. Dalam penelitian ini hal-hal yang dijelaskan adalah tentang kesalahan tanda baca apa saja yang terdapat pada karangan narasi siswa kelas II SDN 8 Nagrikaler, kemudian bentuk kesalahan apa saja yang dilakukan mengenai penggunaan tanda baca dalam karangan narasi siswa kelas II SDN 8 Nagrikaler. Selain bentuk kesalahan adapun mengenai faktor penyebab terjadinya kesalahan penggunaan tanda baca dalam karangan narasi siswa kelas II SDN 8 Nagrikaler. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kesalahan penggunaan tanda baca banyak terjadi pada kesalahan penghilangan tanda koma (,), salah pilih penggunaan tanda koma (,), penghilangan tanda titik (.), penambahan tanda titik dua (:). Kesalahan penggunaan tanda koma (,) sering terjadi ketika seharusnya pada kalimat tersebut terdapat kata hubung yang sebelumnya harus menggunakan tanda koma (,) akan tetapi tidak dipakai. Kemudian penggunaan tanda baca titik (.) juga sering terjadi yang seharusnya dipakai pada akhir kalimat pernyataan akan tetapi, tidak dipakai pada akhir kalimat pernyataan. Total seluruh kesalahan penggunaan tanda baca adalah 88 kesalahan yaitu, kesalahan penghilangan tanda koma (,) dengan jumlah kesalahan 53 jika dipresentasikan sebanyak 60,2%, kesalahan penghilangan tanda titik (.) dengan jumlah kesalahan 32 jika dipresentasikan sebanyak 36,3%, kemudian kesalahan salah pilih tanda koma (,) dengan jumlah kesalahan 1 jika dipresentasikan sebanyak 1,13%, kesalahan salah pilih tanda titik dua (:), dengan jumlah kesalahan 1 jika dipresentasikan sebanyak sebanyak 1,13%, yang terakhir adalah kesalahan penghilangan tanda titik dua (:), dengan jumlah kesalahan 1 jika dipresentasikan sebanyak sebanyak 1,13%. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dengan guru kelas, kesalahan penggunaan tanda baca sebabkan karena faktor kurangnya pemahaman pembelajar terhadap Bahasa yang dipelajarinya. ----- This study describes the analysis of the use of punctuation errors in narrative essays for second grade students of SDN 8 Nagrikaler. This research is a qualitative descriptive study that describes punctuation errors in narrative essays for second grade students of SDN 8 Nagrikaler. In this study, the things that were written were about any punctuation errors contained in the narrative essays of the second grade students of SDN 8 Nagrikaler, then what kinds of errors were made regarding the use of punctuation in the narrative essays of the second grade students of SDN 8 Nagrikaler. In addition to the form of errors, there are factors that cause errors in the use of punctuation marks in narrative essays for second grade students at SDN 8 Nagrikaler. The results showed that errors in the use of punctuation often occurred in errors in omitting commas (,), incorrectly choosing the use of commas (,), omitting periods (.), adding colons (:). Errors in using a comma (,) often occur when there should be a conjunction in the sentence that previously had to use a comma (,) but was not used. Then the use of a period punctuation mark (.) is also often used which should be used at the end of a statement sentence but is not used at the end of a statement sentence. The total of all punctuation errors is 88 errors, namely, comma omission errors (,) with a total of 53 errors if presented as much as 60.2%, errors in omission of periods (.) with 32 errors if presented as much as 36.3%, then errors in choosing a comma (,) with the number of errors 1 if presented as much as 1.13%, errors in choosing a colon incorrectly (:), with the number of errors 1 if presented as much as 1.13%, the last one being an error omitting a period two (:), with an error of 1 if it is presented as much as 1.13%. Based on the results of interviews with classroom teachers, errors in the use of punctuation marks were caused by the lack of understanding of the learner towards the language he was learning.
