    Abstract

    Telah dilakukan penelitian mengenai pemurnian bioetanol hasilfermentasiubikayu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kinerja CuSO4 anhidrat sebagai agen pemurnian bioetanol. Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan pembuatan bioetanol berbahan dasar ubi kayu yang dihidrolisis menggunakan Aspergilus Niger dan difermentasi oleh ragi. Dari hasil fermentasi didapatkan bioetanol dengan kemurnian sebesar 14%. Hasil fermentasi kemudian didestilasi hingga didapatkan kemurnian sebesar 22%, sampel kemudian dimurnikan dengan menggunakan CuSO4 anhidrat secaraberulang,kemudiandidestilasikembali sehingga didapatkan bioetanol yang memiliki titik didih 72,30oC dan indeks bias 1,3512, atau sebanding dengan 99,51%. Hasil analisis instrumen AAS diperoleh kadar total ion Cu sebesar 0,054mg/L. Berdasarkan kinerja tersebut diatas maka bisa disimpulkan bahwa 〖CuSO〗_(4 )anhidrat dapat digunakan sebagai purifier.

    Has conducted research on the purification of fermented cassava bioethanol. This study aims to investigate the performance of CuSO4anhydrous bioethanol as apurification agent. In this research, the manufacture of bioethanol made from cassava using Aspergillus Niger hydrolyzed and fermented by yeast. Obtained from the fermentation of ethanol with a purity of 14%. Fermented and then distilled to obtain purityof 22%, the sample is then purified using anhydrous CuSO4 repeatedly, then distilled to obtain bioethanol have boiling point 72,30oC and indeks bias 1,3512 or comparable withre-grading 99.51%. The results of the analysis of the AAS instrumen to btaineda total concentration of Cu ions of 0.054mg /L. Based on the performance ofthe above it can be concluded that the CuSO4 Anhydrous can be used as apurifier.
