Abstract

Kasus perceraian yang ada di Indonesia semakin bertambah sejak tahun 2015 yang mana hal ini menjadikan semakin bertambah pula keluarga dengan orang tua tunggal atau single parent. Yang mana hal ini akan berpengaruh pula pada pola pengasuhan orang tua kepada anaknya, sebagaimana diketahui bahwa pola asuh idealnya dilakukan oleh kedua orang tua baik ibu ataupun ayah yang bertanggung jawab terhadap perkembangan emosi ataupun pembentukan karakter dimuat anak. Pembahasan yang dimuat adalah pola asuh yang digunakan oleh ibu tunggal dan tingkat perkembangan emosi anak usia 4-5 tahun yang diasuhnya. Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh beberapa penelitian yang mengatakan bahwa pola pengasuhan pada keluarga single mother memiliki dampak negatif terhadap perkembangan emosi anak dengan tujuan peneliti mencoba meneleti jenis pola asuh yang digunakan oleh single mother dan tingkat perkembangan emosi anak usia dini. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan penelitian survei. Dengan subjek penelitian ibu tunggal yang memiliki anak usia 4-5 tahun. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar kuesioner. Hasil penelitian yang di dapatkan adalah bahwa pola asuh yang digunakan oleh ibu tunggal ini adalah pola asuh demokratis, otoriter, dan permisif. Dan tingkat perkembangan emosi anak usia dini usia 4-5 tahun berada dalam tingkat sedang. Kata kunci : Pola Asuh Single Mother, Perkembangan Emosi, Anak Usia Dini. ----- Divorce cases in Indonesia have been increasing since 2015 which has made more and more families with single parents or single parents. This will also affect the parenting styles of parents to their children, as it is known that parenting is ideally carried out by both parents, both mother and father, who are responsible for emotional development or character formation for children. The discussion contained is single mother parenting styles and the level of emotional development of children aged 4-5 years. This research is b several studies that say that parenting in single mother families has a negative impact on children's emotional development with the aim of researchers trying to examine the types of parenting used by single mothers and their understanding of the emotional development of early childhood. The research method used is quantitative research with a survey research approach. With research subjects single mothers who have children aged 4-5 years. The instrument used is a questionnaire sheet. The result of this research is that the parenting style used by this single mother is democratic, authoritarian, and permissive parenting.
