Abstract

Pada tahun 2019 Covid-19 melumpuhkan kehidupan di dunia sehingga orang-orang merasa khawatir dengan penyebaran virus tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana hubungan kecemasan dengan motif partisipasi olahraga di masa pandemi Covid-19. Sebanyak 358 Warga Kota Jakarta Timur menjadi sampel penelitian ini dengan menggunakan teknik pengambilan sampel Random Sampling. Metode yang digunakan pendekatan kuantitatif yaitu pendekatan yang menggunakan data berbentuk skor. Prosedur penelitian ini dengan menyebarkan angket kepada responden. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) untuk mengetahui tingkat kecemasan Warga Kota Jakarta Timur. Instrumen yang kedua adalah Participation Motivation Questionnaire yang dibuat oleh Gill dan kawan-kawan pada tahun 1983 yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat partisipasi olahraga seseorang. Data penelitian yang terkumpul selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan Descriptives Statistics Frecuencies pada aplikasi olah data SPSS versi 25. Hasil analisis menunjukkan tidak terdapat hubungan antara kecemasan dengan partisipasi olahraga di Kota Jakarta Timur selama masa pandemi Covid-19. Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini diharapkan sebagai bahan evaluasi untuk penelitian selanjutnya dan pemilihan instrumen yang lebih baik dan akurat. This study aims to determine the relationship between anxiety and sports participation motives during the Covid-19 pandemic. A total of 358 residents of East Jakarta became the sample of this study using the random sampling technique. The method used is a quantitative approach, namely an approach that uses data in the form of scores. The procedure of this research by distributing questionnaires to respondents. The instrument used in this study was the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) to determine the level of anxiety of the residents of East Jakarta City. The second instrument is the Participation Motivation Questionnaire which was made by Gill and colleagues in 1983 which aims to determine level of participation in a person’s sports. The research data collected was than analyzed using Descriptive Statistics Frecuencies on SPSS version 25. The results of the analysis showed that there was no relationship between anxiety and sports participations in East Jakarta City during the Covid-19 pandemic. Recommendations from this study are expected as evaluation material for further research and the selection of better and more acurate instruments.
