    Abstract

    Penelitian diadakan guna menciptakan inovasi pembelajaran IPS dengan
    penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis edutainment di SDN Gelam 2. Tujuan
    penelitian (1) mendeskripsikan penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis
    edutainment pada mata pelajaran IPS materi lingkungan alam dan buatan di kelas
    V SDN Gelam 2; (2) mendeskripsikan aktivitas belajar siswa kelas V SDN Gelam
    2 pada penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis edutainment. Penelitian
    memakai metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengumpulan data
    melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian (1) penggunaan
    media pembelajaran berbasis edutainment pada mata pelajaran IPS materi
    lingkungan alam dan buatan di SDN Gelam 2 melalui tiga tahap yaitu
    perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan penilaian; (2) aktivitas belajar siswa pada proses
    pembelajaran diketahui dari kegiatan mengamati, praktik, mengomunikasikan,
    dan mengembangkan keingintahuannya. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa
    penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis edutainment mampu memotivasi siswa
    untuk turut serta dan berperan aktif dalam kegiatan pembelajaran guna
    menciptakan pembelajaran yang menyenangkan dan bermakna. Dalam
    penggunaan media pembelajaran, proses pembelajaran dipadukan dengan
    komponen yang berkaitan dengan prinsip-prinsip edutainment diantaranya adalah
    penggunaan metode pembelajaran yaitu demonstrasi dan ceramah plus,
    penggunaan model pembelajaran, penggunaan games, mengajak siswa bernyanyi,
    serta penggunaan media pembelajaran.

    The research was conducted to create social science learning innovations by using
    edutainment-based learning media at SDN Gelam 2. The research objectives (1)
    describe the use of edutainment-based learning media in social studies subjects on
    natural and artificial environment materials in class V SDN Gelam 2; (2) describe
    the learning activities of fifth grade students of SDN Gelam 2 on the use of
    edutainment-based learning media. The study used a descriptive method with a
    qualitative approach. Collecting data through observation, interviews and
    documentation. The results of the study (1) the use of edutainment-based learning
    media in social studies subjects on natural and artificial environment materials at
    SDN Gelam 2 through three stages, namely planning, implementation and
    assessment; (2) student learning activities in the learning process are known from
    observing, practicing, communicating, and developing their curiosity. The results
    of the study concluded that the use of edutainment-based learning media was able
    to motivate students to participate and play an active role in learning activities in
    order to create fun and meaningful learning. In the use of learning media, the
    learning process is combined with components related to edutainment principles
    including the use of learning methods, namely demonstrations and lectures plus,
    the use of learning models, the use of games, inviting students to sing, and the use
    of learning media.
