Abstract

Skripsi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahhui perbedaan pengaruh model pembelajaran Inkuiri dan model pembelajaran Direct Instruction terhadap keterampilan bermain softball. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest group. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa yang mengikuti ekstrakulikuler softball di SMAN 5 Cirebon sebanyak 20 siswa putra. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik Purposive dengan pertimbangan siswa tersebut aktif dalam ekstrakuler softball. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu tes keterampilan bermain softball ( nurhasan : 2007). Setelah kedua model pembelajaran tersebut diuji ternyata model pembelajaran Direct Instruction memberikan pengaruh yang berarti terhadap keterampilan bermain softball. Dari daftar distribusi t taraf nyata 0,05 dengan derajat kebebasan (dk) = 18 didapat t tabel sebesar 1,73 dari penghitungan nilai t hitung didapat sebesar (0,52) tidak berada diantara t tabel (1,73), maka hipotesisnya (Ho) diterima. Kesimpulannya adalah model pembelajaran Direct Instruction memberikan hasil yang lebih baik terhadap keterampilan bermain softball dibandingkan model pembelajaran Inkuiri. Kata kunci : Model Pembelajaran Inkuiri, Model Pembelajaran direct Instruction, Keterampilan bermain softball. This research was aimed to knowing the differences between influence of inquiry model and direct instruction model learning towards softball skills. This research employed experimental method in the forms of pretest-posttest control group design. The samples were 20 members of extra curricular softball in SMAN 5 Cirebon and the samples were taken with purposive technique. The instrument used were softball skill test “The O’Donell Softball Test”(nurhasan : 2007). The findings showed that direct instruction model learning give the significantly influence toward softball skills which t-test distribution the real level which was 0,05 with freedom degree = 18 from t table was 1,73 from the t value was (0.52) it was not among the t table (1.73). it mean that the hypothesis (Ho) accepted. It is obvious that direct instruction learning model give the significantly influence of the result in softball skills rather than inquiry learning model.
