Abstract
Mata pelajaran kimia di SMK merupakan mata pelajaran adaptif yang diharapkan dapat menunjang mata pelajaran kejuruan, namun pada kenyataannya bahan ajar kimia yang tersedia kurang menunjang terhadap penguasaan kompetensi pada mata pelajaran kejuruan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan materi kimia siswa SMK kompetensi keahlian Agribisnis Tanaman Pangan dan Hortikultura (ATPH) yang diharapkan dapat menghasilkan outline bahan ajar kimia yang sesuai untuk siswa SMK kompetensi keahlian ATPH. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain D&D (Design and Development) dengan metode penelitian deskriptif evaluatif dengan pendekatan kualitatif yang terdiri atas tahap perencanaan, pengumpulan data, analisis, pembuatan outline bahan ajar, dan tahap akhir. Partisipan pada penelitian ini terdiri dari tiga orang guru kimia dan lima orang guru kejuruan ATPH. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan reviu. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: 1)Materi kimia berdasarkan kurikulum 2013 sudah memenuhi kebutuhan materi kejuruan, namun perlu adanya penyesuaian dari kedalaman dan penguatan konsep pada masing-masing materi kimia. Terdapat materi kimia yang sebenarnya dibutuhkan siswa, tetapi tidak terakomodasi pada bahan ajar yang tersedia, diantaranya materi pemisahan campuran; senyawa hidrokarbon dan turunannya; makromolekul; laju reaksi; dan koloid. 2)Secara umum materi kimia yang terkait sudah diakomodasi oleh kurikulum 2013, namun konteks pembelajarannya belum diangkat pada pembelajaran kimia.3) Ruang lingkup materi kimia yang dibutuhkan untuk siswa SMK kompetensi keahlian ATPH dibuat berdasarkan materi kimia, materi prasyarat, dan konteks ATPH disusun dalam bentuk outline. Ruang lingkup materi meliputi materi dan perubahannya; lambang unsur, rumus kimia,dan persamaan reaksi; struktur atom dan sistem periodik unsur; ikatan kimia; hukum dasar ilmu kimia dan stoikiometri; kesetimbangan kimia; asam basa; hidrolisis garam; larutan penyangga; kelarutan; sifat koligatif larutan; reaksi reduksi oksidasi; senyawa hidrokarbon dan turunannya; makromolekul; laju reaksi; dan koloid yang dikaitkan dengan konteks ATPH. Chemistry course in vocational high school is expected to support the essential concepts that support the vocational subjects. Nevertheless, the available teaching materials cannot support the concepts needed to support vocational subject. This study aims to perform a need analysis of chemical teaching materials for Vocational Hight School, in particular for Food Crops and Horticulture Agribusiness expertise which is expected to produce an outline of chemical teaching materials that meet the needs for Vocational Hight School competency especially for Food Crops and Horticulture Agribusiness expertise. This study uses a Design and Development design with an descriptive evaluative research method with a qualitative approach consisting of planning, data collection, data analysis, and outline preparation for teaching materials. This study involved three vocational chemistry teachers and five Food Crops and Horticulture Agribusiness course teachers as respondents. The data was collected through interviews and review. The research findings revealed that :1)Chemical materials based on the 2013 curriculum are suitable with the needs for Vocational High School materials but some concepts must be a deepened and strenghened. There are chemical materials that are needed by students but cannot be fulfilled by the available teaching materials, such as mixed separation, hydrocarbons and derivatives, macromolecules, reaction rate, and colloid. 2) In general, the related chemistry material has been accommodated by the 2013 curriculum, but the learning context has not been raised in chemistry learning. 3) The scope of chemistry material for Food Crops and Horticulture Agribusiness expertise was arranged based on the chemistry materials, prerequisite materials, and the relevant context in the form of an outline. The essential chemistry materials include matter and changes; mixture separation; element symbol, chemical formulas, chemical equations; the structure of atoms and periodic table of the elements; chemical bonding; basic laws of chemistry and stoichiometry; chemical equilibrium; acid-bases; salt hydolysis; buffer solution; solubility product; colligative properties of solutions; oxidation-reduction reactions; hydrocarbons and derivatives; macromolecule; reaction rate; and colloids.
