Restia Giantasya, - (2021) PENGGUNAAN DAUN KELOR (Moringa Oleifera) SEBAGAI PAKAN ALTERNATIF UNTUK ELVER (Anguilla Bicolor Bicolor). S1 thesis, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia.
Abstract
Anguilla bicolor bicolor is an economically valuable eel that has a high protein content so that it becomes an attraction for consumers in the international market.
The suitability of water quality for eel cultivation habitat is one of the parameters of success in eel cultivation activities. The use of alternative feed using Moringa
leaves because it has a fairly high protein content of 30.30%, so it can meet the protein needs of elver. The purpose of this study was to determine the environmental conditions of elver cultivation which were observed from chemical parameters, protein and fat content of the results of making Moringa leaf-based feed, feed conversion ratio (FCR) price, growth rate and specific growth rate (SGR) in elver grown. given moringa leaf-based feed and commercial feed. The stages of research carried out included elver cultivation stage, stage of manufacture and provision of moringa leaf-based artificial feed and commercial feed with observation of elver mass growth, as well as testing the water quality of elver cultivation. Chemical parameters suitable for elver cultivation environmental conditions, namely TDS, temperature, DO, pH, nitrate, and nitrite for Moringa
leaf-based feed, respectively, cost 176.2±6.4 mg/L; 26.6±0.71°C; 6.2±0.5mg/L; 8.0±0.1; 0.6±0.2mg/L; 2.1±0.6mg/L, for commercial feed the price is 176.1±5.6 mg/L, respectively; 26.6±0.72°C; 6.2±0.5mg/L; 7.9±0.2; 0.6±0.2mg/L; 1.9±0.5mg/L. The protein content in Moringa leaf-based feed was 30.46% and crude fat was 10.56%. Elver experienced an average mass growth on moringa leaf-based feed of 6.12 g/head and on commercial feed of 5.96 g/head. Specific growth rate on Moringa leaf-based diet was 4.02% per day while on commercial feed was 3.85% per day, the constant growth rate of elver mass in Moringa leaf-based diet
was 0.0369 (g/head)/day while commercial feed was 0 0.0370 (g/head)/day, and the conversion value of the Moringa leaf-based feed ratio was 13.71% while the
commercial feed was 15.56%
