Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan utuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh dan peningkatan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada pembelajaran IPA di Sekolah Dasar khusunya siswa kelas V SDN Srimukti tahun ajaran 2020/2021. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pre-eksperimen dengan menggunakan desain one group design. Sampel penelitian ini siswa kelas V, dengan jumlah siswa 17 orang. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode tes uraian dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa, rata-rata pretest dan posttest kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa menunjukan adanya peningkatan yaitu dari 53,52 menjadi 78, sedangkan hasil analisis indikator menunjukan adanya peningkatan dari setiap indikator, indikator tertinggi ada pada memberikan alasan dengan persentase 91%, dan indikator dengan persentasi terendah ada pada indikator menarik kesimpulan dari hasil penyelidikan dengan persentase 64%. Hasil observasi menunjukan hasil rata-rata persentase sebesar 81% dan berada pada kategori sangat tinggi. Setelah diberi perlakuan hasil rata-rata posttest pemahaman konsep siswa mengalami peningkatan, hal tersebut ditunjukan dengan nilai rata-rata N-Gain sebesar 0,554 berada pada kategori sedang. Serta berdasarkan hasil uji koefisien determeniasi, diketahui bahwa model pembelajaran Project Based Learning terhadap keampuan berpikir kritis siswa sebesar 35%. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran PjBL berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas V di SD Negeri Srimukti. ----- This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of the Project Based Learning learning model on students' critical thinking skills in science learning at Elementary Schools, especially fifth grade students at Sri Mukti Elementary School in the 2020/2021 academic year. This type of research is a pre-experimental research using one group design. The sample of this study was fifth grade students, with a total of 17 students. Data collection in this study was carried out using the description test method, then analyzed using pretest-posttest analysis, observation results, N-Gain values and coefficient of determination. The results showed that the average pretest and posttest of students' critical thinking skills showed an increase from 53.52 to 78, while the results of the indicator analysis showed an increase in each indicator, the highest indicator was in giving reasons with a percentage of 91%, and indicators with the lowest percentage in the indicator drawing conclusions from the results of the investigation with a percentage of 64%. Observation results show the average percentage of 81% and is in the very high category. After being treated, the average posttest result of students' understanding of the concept has increased, it is shown by the average N-Gain value of 0.55 which is in the medium category. And based on the results of the coefficient of determination test, it is known that the Project Based Learning learning model on students' critical thinking skills is 35%. Thus, the PjBL learning model affects the critical thinking skills of fifth grade students at SD Negeri Sri Mukti, Subang District.
