Abstract

ABSTRACT In an electric power distribution system, the level of reliability is very important because it ensures the continuity of electricity supply to consumers. Service reliability can be seen from how long the interruption occurs during a certain time interval (one year) or known as SAIDI (System Average Interruption Duration Index) and how often the frequency of interruptions occurs during a year or known as SAIFI (System Average Interruption Frequency Index). This study aims to determine the reliability index of the distribution network system on the Mars feeder using the RNEA method and ETAP software as a reference. The Reliability Network Equivalent Approach (RNEA) method can be used to analyze the reliability of a large and complex distribution network system, using an equivalent element approach. The equivalent circuit is used to replace part of the distribution network and rearrange the distribution network system into a series and simple form. The results of the RNEA calculation get the SAIFI distribution system reliability index value of 3.33 times/customer/year, and SAIDI 11.08 hours/customer/year. And the simulation results applied to ETAP 16.0.0 on the Mars feeder to get the SAIFI distribution system reliability index value of 3.4 times/customer/year, and SAIDI 12.8 hours/customer/year.
