Abstract
Minimnya kesadaran masyarakat dalam menjaga lingkungan merupakan suatu permasalahan yang kerap sekali dilakukan oleh masyarakat hingga saat ini.Hal ini dikarenakan kurang nya rasa tanggungjawab masyarakat.Permasalahan ini dapat diselesaikan dengan adanya pembinaan karakter masyarakat.Bank Sampah Bumi Inspirasi berperan untuk menumbuhkan kesadaran masyarakat untuk peduli dan bertanggungjawab dalam menjaga lingkungan.Hal ini menjadi alasan dilakukannya penelitian ini dengan tujuan mengetahui studi tentang civic responsibility masyarakat dalam pembinaan karakter warga negara melalui Program Bank Sampah Bumi Inspirasi.Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode studi kasus.Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi,wawancara dan dokumentasi.Temuan pada penelitian ini diantarnya (1) Bentuk kegiatan Bank Sampah Bumi Inspirasi ialah kegiatan menabung sampah, kegiatan sosialiasi kepada masyarakat,edukasi sekolah dan kampus, kegiatan webinar,fieldtrip to Bank Sampah Bumi Inspirasi dan memberikan apresiasi bagi nasabah yang berprestasi.(2)Kendala yang dihadapi diantaranya pada saat kegiatan berlangsung tidak semua pengurus dapat mengikuti kegitan, kurangnya pengetahuan serta SDM pengurus dalam pengelolaan sampah organik,dan masih adanya masyarakat yang belum menjadi nasabah Bank Sampah Bumi Inspirasi.(3)Upaya dalam menyelesaikan kendala para pengurus melakukan musyawarah dan founder maupun para pengurus rutin mengajak masyarakat untuk ikut bergabung dan mau menabung sampahnya di Bank Sampah.(4)Hasil yang dicapai dari pelaksanaan Program Bank Sampah Bumi Inspirasi telah efektif dalam membina karakter tanggungjawab masyarakat.Hal ini terbukti dengan adanya perubahan lingkungan yang menjadi lebih bersih, nyaman dan tidak bau serta tidak ada lagi air meluap dari gorong-gorong,masyarakat sudah memiliki kebiasaan memisahkan sampah sesuai dengan jenis-jenisnya.Sehingga jika Program Bank Sampah Bumi Inspirasi ini menjadi budaya sosial maka akan tercipta karakter warga negara yang peduli dan bertanggungjawab dalam menjaga lingkungannya. " The Study of Civic Responsibility in Fostering the Character of Citizens Through the Bumi Inspirasi Trash Bank Program” The lack of public awareness in protecting the environment is a problem that is often carried out by the community until now. This is due to the lack of a sense of community responsibility, in addition to the lack of public knowledge about the types of waste that must be separated and the lack of infrastructure as a support so that people want to protect the environment. This problem can be solved by building character to the community. The Bumi Inspirasi Waste Bank has a role to raise public awareness to care and be responsible for maintaining a clean environment. This is a reason for conducting this research as an aim to find out the study of civic responsibility community in fostering the character of citizens through the Bumi Inspiration Waste Bank Program. This research uses a qualitative approach and a case study method. Data collection was carried out by observation, interviews and documentation. The findings in this study include (1) The forms of the Bumi Inspirasi Waste Bank activities are the activities of saving waste, socialization activities to the community within the City of Bandung and outside the City of Bandung, education of Bsbi Goes to school & campus, seminars and webinars, field trips to the Bumi Inspirasi Waste Bank. and provide appreciation for outstanding customers.(2)The obstacles faced include the management who is still volunteer in nature so that during the activity not all management can participate in the activity due to other activities, lack of knowledge and human resources of the management in organic waste management, and there are still people who have not participated or become customers at the Bank. Inspirational Earth Trash.(3)Efforts to resolve existing obstacles, the management always conducts deliberations to resolve the problems that occur, and the founder and management of the Bumi Inspiration Bank Garbage Bank invites the public to join and want to save their waste in the Waste Bank.(4)The results achieved from the implementation of the Bumi Inspiration Waste Bank Program have been effective in fostering the character of community responsibility. This is evidenced by changes in the environment which are cleaner, more comfortable and odorless and there is no more water overflowing from the sewers, it is no longer seen that people littering, besides that the community already has the habit of separating the waste it produces according to its type-type. So that if the Bumi Inspiration Waste Bank Program becomes a social culture, it will create the character of citizens who care and are responsible for protecting their environment.
