Abstract

Permainan tradisional merupakan bagian tradisi budaya Indonesia yang sarat dengan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal. Untuk mencegah menghilangnya tradisi budaya di kemudian hari maka perlu dilakukan pengembangan model pembelajaran berbasis kearifan lokal permainan tradisional melalui muatan pelajaran IPS. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan model traditional game-based learning dalam pembelajaran IPS untuk mengembangkan karakter peserta didik di Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian dan pengembangan (research and development) model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation dan Evaluation). Ada tiga pokok tahapan pada penelitian ini, yaitu: (1) studi pendahuluan melalui studi kepustakaan dan studi lapangan (case study) (2) Pengembangan model melalui uji coba terbatas dan meluas (3) Efektivitas pengembangan model TGBL dengan melakukan validitas empiris dengan metode eksperimen kuasi (quasi experiment). Temuan awal penelitian Pembelajaran IPS berbasis permainan tradisional di SDN 015 Kresna, SDN 110 Komarabudi, dan SDN 171 Lanuma Husein masih menggunakan pembelajaran yang bersifat subject oriented dan teacher centered. Desain sintak model TGBL terdiri dari lima tahapan yaitu orientation, exploration, experience, reflection dan application. Efektivitas penerapan model Traditional Game-Based Learning dalam mengembangkan karakter budaya lokal peserta didik dalam muatan pelajaran IPS di sekolah dasar teridentifikasi pada meningkatnya hasil belajar melalui hasil pretest dan posttest. Model Traditional Game-Based Learning dilaksanakan tidak hanya satu kali tetapi berulang-ulang sehingga terjadi internalisasi nilai karakter yang termuat dalam permainan tradisional. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah model Traditional Game-Based Learning yang dikembangkan memberikan dampak pembelajaran yang positif, yaitu dapat mengembangkan karakter dan pencapaian belajar peserta didik secara signifikan. To prevent the disappearance of cultural traditions in the future, it is necessary to develop a learning model based on local wisdom of traditional games through social studies content. This study aims to develop a traditional game-based learning model in social studies learning to develop the character of students in elementary schools. This study uses qualitative and quantitative approaches with the ADDIE model of research and development (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation). There are three main stages in this research, namely: (1) preliminary study through library research and case studies (2) model development studies through limited trials and expansion (3) study of improving the TGBL model by conducting empirical validity with the method quasi experimental. The preliminary findings of research on social studies learning based on traditional games at SDN 015 Kresna, SDN 110 Komarabudi, and SDN 171 Lanuma Husein currently using subject-oriented and teacher-centered learning. The syntax design of the TGBL model consists of five stages, namely orientation, exploration, experience, reflection and application. The effectiveness of the application of the Traditional Game-Based Learning model in developing the character of the local culture of students in the content of social studies lessons in elementary schools was identified in increasing learning outcomes through pretest and posttest results. The Traditional Game-Based Learning model is implemented not only once but repeatedly so that there is an internalization of character values contained in traditional games. The conclusion of this study is that the Traditional Game-Based Learning model developed has a positive learning impact, which can significantly develop the character and learning achievement of students.
