Abstract
ABSTRAK Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas V di SD pada pokok bahasan soal cerita volume kubus dan balok. Disusunnya rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa dan kesulitan yang dialami siswa dalam menjawab soal tes dengan cara menganalisis hasil dan kesulitan yang dialami. Lokasi penelitian di salah satu SD Negeri Kabupaten Purwakarta dengan subjek penelitian enam siswa. Perolehan data dilakukan dengan instrumen tes, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Instrumen tes berpusat mengetahui kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis ditinjau dari indikatornya sedangkan wawancara berpusat untuk menggali data kesulitan yang dialami siswa dalam mengerjakan soal tes serta faktor eksternal dengan wawancara enam orang tua serta satu orang guru. Data temuan dideskripsikan lalu dicari kesesuaian antara hasil tes dengan hasil wawancara. Hasil tes menunjukan bahwa satu dari enam subjek mendapatkan skor 11 dengan kategori kurang sedangkan empat subjek mendapat skor tes 20, 21, 21, 24 dengan kategori cukup, dan satu subjek dengan skor 28 dengan kategori baik. Kata Kunci: Kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis, soal cerita volume kubus dan balok. ----- ABSTRACT The research was conducted to determine the mathematical problem solving ability of fifth graders in elementary school on the subject of volume cube and cuboids word problem. The formulation of the problem in this study was to determine students' mathematical problem solving abilities and the difficulties experienced by students in answering test questions by analyzing the results and difficulties experienced. The research location is in one of the public Elementary Schools of Purwakarta Regency with six students as research subjects. Data acquisition was done by means of test instruments, interviews, and documentation. The test instrument is centered on knowing mathematical problem solving abilities in terms of indicators, while the interviews are centered on digging up data on the difficulties experienced by students in doing test questions and external factors by interviewing six parents and one teacher. The findings were described and then searched for conformity between test results and interview results. The test results showed that one of the six subjects scored 11 in the poor category, while four subjects received a test score of 20, 21, 21, 24 in the sufficient category, and one subject with a score of 28 in the good category.
