Abstract
Literasi sains merupakan kemampuan yang penting harus siswa miliki dalam menunjang pembelajaran IPA. Pendekatan STEM berbantuan komik digunakan sebagai cara untuk dapat meningkatkan kemampuan literasi sains siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian eksperimen dengan desain penelitian subjek tunggal (single subject research) dengan menggunakan pola A-B-A untuk mengetahui sebab-akibat dari variabel penelitian. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 3 orang siswa yang membutuhkan intervensi lebih lanjut. Hasil penelitian menunjukan dengan adanya intervensi berupa pendekatan STEM berbantuan komik memberikan pengaruh terhadap kemampuan literasi sains siswa. Pada tes kemampuan awal baseline-1 subjek penelitian ke-1 mengalami kesalahan sebanyak 4 dari 5 soal di setiap sesi dan mendapatkan skor 20 dan subjek ke-2 serta ke-3 mengalami kesalahan sebanyak 5 dari 5 soal yang disajikan dengan skor 0. Sementara pada tes kemampuan akhir baseline-2 ketiga subjek mengalami peningkatan dengan berkurangnya frekuensi kesalahan di sesi 2 dan 3 sudah 0 kesalahan dari sejumlah 5 soal dan mendapatkan skor 100. Hal ini sejalan dengan hasil presentase overlap yang rendah yaitu 0%. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan dengan penggunaan pendekatan STEM berbantuan komik berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan literasi sains. Kata Kunci: Pendekatan STEM, Komik, Literasi Sains ----- Scientific literacy is an important ability that students must have in supporting science learning. The comic-assisted STEM approach is used as a way to improve students' scientific literacy skills. This study uses an experimental research design with a single subject research design using the A-B-A pattern to determine the causes and effects of the research variables. The subjects in this study were 3 students who needed further intervention. The results showed that the intervention in the form of a comic-assisted STEM approach had an influence on students' scientific literacy skills. In the baseline-1 initial ability test, the 1st research subject experienced errors of 4 out of 5 questions in each session and got a score of 20 and the 2nd and 3rd subjects experienced errors of 5 out of 5 questions presented with 0 score. Meanwhile, in the baseline-2 final ability test, the three subjects experienced an increase with a reduced frequency of errors in sessions 2 and 3, already 0 errors from a total of 5 questions and getting a score of 100. This is in line with the results of the low overlap percentage, which is 0%. So it can be concluded that the use of the comic-assisted STEM approach has an effect on scientific literacy skills.
