Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masalah yang dialami oleh siswa sehingga rendahnnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Tentunya ada faktor yang memengaruhi rendahanya kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa, salah satunya adalah penggunaan model pembelajaran yang dilakukan didalam kelas kurang memberikan kesempatan siswa untuk berperan aktif dalam pembelajaran. Solusi dalam penelitian ini adalah penggunaan model problem based learning. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat pengaruh model problem based learning terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Metode penelitian ini adalah single subject reasearch menggunakan desain A-B-A. Subjek pada penelitian berjumlah 3 siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar di Kecamatan Purwakarta. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini berupa soal uraian berjumlah 5 butir soal. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian bahwa: 1) model pembelajaran problem based learning berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa; 2) kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa meningkat setelah diterapkannya model pembelajaran problem based learning. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran problem based learning berpengaruh dan meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. ------ This research is motivated by problems experienced by students so that the low ability to solve mathematical problems.Of course, there are factors that affect the low ability of student problem solving, one of which is the use of learning models carried out in the classroom less to provide students with an opportunity to play an active role in learning.The solution in this study is the use of problem based learning models.The purpose of this study was to look at the influence of problem-based learning models on students' mathematical problem-solving abilities.This research method is single subject reasearch using the A-B-A design.The subjects in the study amounted to 3 students of class V elementary school in Purwakarta subdistrict.The instrument used in this study in the form of a description of 5 points of question.Based on the results of research that: 1) problem based learning models affect students' mathematical problem-solving skills; 2) Students' mathematical problem-solving skills improve after the implementation of problem based learning models.So it can be concluded that the problem based learning model is influential and improves students' mathematical problem-solving skills.
