Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran cooperative learning tipe jigsaw, tujuan penelitian ini untuk memperoleh informasi mengenai pengaruh model pembelajaran cooperative learning tipe jigsaw terhadap penguasaan konsep dan kemampuan komunikasi lisan siswa SMA pada materi Mollusca. Desain penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu nonequivalent control group design. Variabel dalam penelitian ini ada dua yaitu, variabel bebas yaitu model pembelajaran cooperative learning tipe jigsaw, dan variabel terikat yaitu penguasaan konsep dan kemampuan komunikasi siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pretest dan posttest. Hasil analisis dengan uji-Z menunjukkan bahwa penguasaan konsep siswa kelas eksperimen lebih baik dibanding dengan penguasaan konsep siswa kelas kontrol. Hasil analisis kemampuan komunikasi lisan siswa yang dijaring melalui data observasi menunjukkan kemampuan komunikasi lisan siswa kelas eksperimen lebih baik dibanding dengan kemampuan komunikasi lisan siswa kelas kontrol, serta angket siswa yang menunjukkan respon setuju (80,42%) bahwa penerapan model cooperative learning tipe jigsaw dapat membantu pembelajaran, hasil uji-Z, data observasi serta angket memnunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif model pembelajaran cooperative learning tipe jigsaw terhadap penguasaan konsep dan kemampuan komunikasi siswa SMA pada materi Mollusca. Kata Kunci : cooperative learning tipe jigsaw, penguasaan konsep, kemampuan komunikasi, mollusca Research has been done with using learning model of cooperative learning jigsaw type. Purpose of this study is to obtain information about the effect of model of cooperative learning jigsaw type learning toward mastery of concepts and verbal communication skills of high school students in Molluscs. The research design used in this study is non-equivalent control group. Variable in this study is two, independence variable the learning model of cooperative learning jigsaw type, and dependence variable mastery of concepts and communication skills of students. Data collection was conducted with pretest and posttest. Analysis of the data that used for examine the hypothesis is Z-test. The result show that the mastery of concepts of students in the experimental class are better than with the mastery of student concepts in the control. The analysis results of the verbal communication skills of students are captured through observation, showed that verbal communication skills of experimental class is better than students in control class. Students response of questionnaire declare agreed (80.42%) that the application of models of cooperative learning jigsaw type can help them to learning easily. So that, based on the Z-test results, the data of observations and questionnaires proves that there are positive effects of model of cooperative learning jigsaw type towards mastery of concepts and communication skills of high school students on the Molluscs.
