Abstract

Model Accelerated Learning merupakan sebuah model pembelajaran yang cukup efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa di sekolah dasar, khususnya dalam materi statistika pada pembelajaran matematika. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah pemahaman konsep matematis siswa yang belajar dengan menggunakan model Accelerated Learning tipe MESSAGE lebih baik daripada siswa yang belajar dengan menggunakan model konvensional, serta untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan pemahaman konsep matematis pada siswa yang belajar menggunakan model Accelerated Learning tipe MESSAGE. Penelitian ini dilakukan adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematis pada siswa kelas V sekolah dasar. Model pembelajaran yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Model Accelerated Learning tipe MESSAGE, dengan bantuan instrumen tes dan lembar observasi aktivitas siswa. Hasil analisis data berdasarkan uji beda signifikansi menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis yang signifikan antara siswa yang belajar menggunakan model Accelerated Learning tipe MESSAGE dengan siswa yang menggunakan model konvensioal. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa model Accelerated Learning tipe MESSAGE dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa pada pembelajaran matematika di sekolah dasar. Selain itu, hasil analisis lembar observasi menunjukkan bahwa siswa di kelas eksperimen berpartisipasi lebih aktif selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung. ----- The Accelerated Learning Model is a learning model that is quite effective in improving students' understanding of mathematical concepts in elementary schools, especially in statistical material in mathematics learning. The purpose of this study was to determine whether students' understanding of mathematical concepts using the MESSAGE-type Accelerated Learning model was better than students who studied using conventional models, and to find out whether there was a significant effect on increasing understanding of mathematical concepts in students who learned to use this model. MESSAGE type Accelerated Learning. This research was conducted to improve the understanding of mathematical concepts in fifth grade elementary school students. The learning model used in this study is the MESSAGE type Accelerated Learning Model, with the help of test instruments and student activity observation sheets. The results of data analysis based on the significance difference test showed that there was a significant difference in the ability to understand mathematical concepts between students who learned to use the MESSAGE type of Accelerated Learning model and students who used the conventional model. This proves that the MESSAGE type Accelerated Learning model can improve students' understanding of mathematical concepts in learning mathematics in elementary schools. In addition, the results of the analysis of the observation sheet showed that students in the experimental class participated more actively during the learning process.
