Abstract
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi hubungan tugas instruksional pada kognitif tingkat tinggi melalui pembelajaran daring terhadap kemampuan HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills) siswa pada materi perubahan dan pencemaran lingkungan. Tugas instruksional merupakan kegiatan pengajaran atau instruksi yang diberikan selama pembelajaran oleh guru untuk mengarahkan siswa dalam memahami konsep yang diberikan. Pada konsep perubahan dan pencemaran lingkungan, siswa diarahkan untuk menganalisis suatu permasalahan lingkungan, sehingga akan dapat mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kemampuan dalam memecahkan masalah. Akibat adanya pandemi COVID-19 pemerintah menginstruksikan agar kegiatan pembelajaran dilakukan secara daring (online learning). Metode yang digunakan adalah Pre Experimental dengan desain penelitian One – Shoot Case Study Design. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 30 siswa pada satu kelas eksperimen. Selama pembelajaran siswa diberikan pertanyaan terbuka dan pertanyaan tertulis pada kognitif tingkat tinggi. Pada akhir pembelajaran, siswa diberikan posttest untuk mengukur kemampuan HOTS siswa dan diuji menggunakan analisis regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian tentang kemampuan HOTS siswa menunjukkan terdapat korelasi yang tinggi dengan tugas instruksional pada kognitif tingkat tinggi sebesar 0.774 dengan kontribusi sebesar 59,9%. Kategori kemampuan HOTS siswa secara berurutan, yaitu sangat baik 6.6%, baik 6.6%, cukup 30%, kurang 10%, dan kurang sekali 46.6%, dengan rata-rata seluruh siswa berada pada kategori cukup sebesar 56%. Rendahnya hasil yang didapat disebabkan beberapa faktor, yaitu kejelasan soal dan instruksi saat pemberian tugas instruksional. Dari hasil penelitian terdapat hubungan antara tugas instruksional kognitif tingkat tinggi terhadap HOTS. The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between instructional tasks on high-level cognitive through online learning on students' HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills) abilities on environmental change and pollution concept. Instructional tasks are teaching activities or instructions given during learning by teachers to direct students in understanding concepts. In the concept of environmental change and pollution, students are directed to analyze an environmental problem, so that they will be able to develop critical thinking skills and problem solving abilities. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the government has instructed online learning to be carried out. This study used the Pre Experimental method with One – Shoot Case Study Design as research design. The sample consisted of 30 students in one experimental class. Students are given open-ended questions and written questions on high-level cognitive during learning. At the end of the lesson, students were given a posttest to measure students' HOTS ability and tested using simple linear regression analysis. The results of research on students' HOTS abilities showed that there was a high correlation with instructional tasks on high-level cognitive of 0.774 with a contribution of 59.9%. The categories of students' HOTS abilities sequentially, that is very good 6.6%, good 6.6%, moderate 30%, less 10%, and very less 46.6%, with an average of all students in the sufficient category of 56%. The low results obtained are caused by several factors, that is clarity of questions and instructions when giving instructional tasks. From the results of the study there is a relationship and effect between instructional tasks on HOTS.
