Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kemampuan representasi siswa pada konsep gerak melingkar di salah satu SMA Negeri di Anjatan, Indramayu. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif eksploratif, yaitu metode untuk memperoleh informasi mengenai penemuan suatu variabel, gejala, atau keadaan tanpa adanya manipulasi. Serangkaian tes kemampuan representasi berupa 15 soal pilihan ganda materi gerak melingkar yang diujikan kepada 197 responden peserta didik kelas X. Penilaian kemampuan representasi diolah menggunakan statistik deskriptif dengan empat aspek kemampuan representasi berdasarkan aspek pemahaman (C2) Taksonomi Bloom, yaitu aspek interpretasi, translasi, ekstrapolasi, dan intrapolasi. Hasil kemampuan representasi dikategorikan ke dalam tiga kategori, yaitu kategori rendah, sedang, dan tinggi. Dari hasil penelitian terdapat 29 peserta didik dengan pemahaman rendah dengan persentase 14,7%, 123 peserta didik dengan pemahaman sedang dengan persentase 62,4%, dan 45 peserta didik dengan pemahaman tinggi dengan persentase 22,8%. Dari hasil tersebut, rata-rata responden yang diteliti memiliki kemampuan representasi pada kategori sedang. Untuk aspek pemahaman interpretasi rendah 17,8%; sedang 64,5%; dan tinggi 17,8%. Untuk aspek pemahaman translasi rendah 14,7%; sedang 71,6%, dan tinggi 13,7%. Untuk aspek pemahaman ekstrapolasi rendah 32%, sedang 52,3%, dan tinggi 15,7%. Untuk aspek pemahaman intrapolasi diperoleh hasil rendah 24,4%, sedang 33,0%, dan tinggi 42,6%. Kata kunci: Kemampuan representasi, Tes kemampuan representasi The purpose of this study was to determine students' representational abilities on the concept of circular motion at one of the public high school in Anjatan, Indramayu. The research method used is descriptive exploratory method, which is a method to obtain information about the discovery of a variable, symptom, or condition without any manipulation. A series of representational ability tests in the form of 15 multiple choice questions on circular motion material that were tested on 197 respondents of class X students. The representation ability assessment was processed using descriptive statistics with four aspects of representational ability based on aspects of understanding (C2) Bloom's Taxonomy, namely aspects of interpretation, translation, extrapolation, and interpolation. The results of the representation ability are categorized into three categories, namely low, medium, and high categories. From the results of the study, there were 29 students with low understanding with a percentage of 14.7%, 123 students with moderate understanding with a percentage of 62.4%, and 45 students with high understanding with a percentage of 22.8%. From these results, the average respondent studied has the ability to represent in the medium category. For the low interpretation aspect of 17.8%; moderate 64.5%; and 17.8% high. For aspects of low translation understanding 14.7%; medium 71.6%, and high 13.7%. For the aspect of understanding extrapolation, it is low 32%, moderate 52.3%, and high 15.7%.
