Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara bahasa Jepang siswa dengan menggunakan metode STEAM project-based learning dalam pembelajaran secara online. Penelitian ini menggunkaan true experimental design dengan model penelitian yang digunkaan adalah pretest and posttest control group design. Data instrumen merupakan data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini. Data tersebut berupa tes dan penyerbaran angket yang dikumpulkan, lalu diolah dengan menggunakan SPSS atau Statistical Product and Service Solution. Sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini berjumlah 42 orang siswa pada kelas Akomondasi Perhotelan di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Negeri 2 Kota Cirebon. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data efektivitas, diketahui bahwa keefektifitasan metode STEAM project based learning dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara bahasa Jepang berada pada kategori sedang atau cukup efektif. Hal ini dapat dilihat berdasarkan hasil data pretest dan posttest, diketahui bahwa kemampuan berbicara bahasa Jepang siswa mengalami peningkatan. Pada hasil data signifikansi, diketahui bahwa terjadi perbedaan yang signifikan antara metode STEAM project based learning secara daring dengan metode konvensional secara daring. Berdasarkan hasil data angket diketahui bahwa penggunaan metode STEAM project based learning memunculkan respon positif bagi para pembelajar bahasa Jepang. Metode STEAM project-based learning pun dinyatakan dapat membantu siswa melatih keterampilan berbicara, memotivasi, mengembangkan kreatifitas dan kemampuan berpikir secara kritis, melatih kemampuan berkomunikasi, dan dapat memahami materi pembelajaran bahasa Jepang secara lebih mudah. The aims of this study are to improve students speaking skill ability in Japanese language by using STEAM project-based learning as learning method in online educations. The method that used in this study is using true experimental design by collecting both of tests and questionnare as samples of data instrument. SPSS or known as Statistical Product and Service Solution is used as data processing in this study. The samples that use in this study is 42 students from second class of hotel accommodation in second public vocational school at Cirebon city. Based on effectiveness result it is shown that the method of STEAM project-based learning is on intermediate category of effactiveness or known as effective enough to be used as learning method to improves students speaking skill. It is certainly shown in test result between pretest and posttest that students Japanese speaking skill between experimental and control class is highly improving. For the significant result it is shown that there is significant difference between STEAM project-based learning as Japanese learning method in online classes and conventional method in online classes. Positive feedbacks from samples are shown in questionnaire result when using STEAM project-based learning as learning method in Japanese language education to improve students speaking skill ability. STEAM project-based learning also shown that could help students to practice Japanese speaking skill, self-motivates, self-creativity and thinking ability develop, communicate skill, and could easily understand Japanese material well.
