Abstract

ABSTRAK PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM BASED LEARNING DALAM MENINGKATKAN KEPEDULIAN SOSIAL DI MASA PANDEMI SISWA SMP NEGERI 12 BANDUNG Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rasa ingin tahu peneliti terhadap tingkat kepedulian sosial siswa di masa pademi dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL). Kepedulian sosial adalah perasaan bertanggung jawab atas kesulitan yang dihadapi oleh orang lain dan terdorong untuk melakukan sesuatu untuk mengatasinya. Kepedulian tidak bisa tumbuh pada diri setiap orang, melainkan membutuhkan proses latihan dan didikan. Banyak cara yang mampu meningkat rasa kepedulian sosial siswa, salah satunya adalah menerapkan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dalam belajarnya. Pembelajaran sangat di pengaruhi oleh sebuah metode pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan peserta didik, menarik, dan juga inovatif. Salah satunya adalah model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning, dengan menggunakan model tersebut peserta didik diarahkan untuk dapat memecahkan sebuah masalah, dan berpikir kritis atas permasalahan yang dihadapi dirinya maupun lingkungan sosialnya. Ada beberapa hasil temuan peneliti, yaitu (a) Dari hasil penemuan di lapangan, pada awal mulanya pencapaian kelas eksperimen tidak lebih besar dibandingkan dengan kelas kontro (b) Tetapi setelah penerapan dan pemberian perilaku yang berbeda, kelas eksperimen mampu melampaui hasil belajar dari kelas kontrol (c) kelas kontrol diterapkan metode konvensional dalam pembelajaran, sedangkan kelas eksperimen menerapkan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dalam proses pembelajarannya. Kata Kunci: Kepedulian Sosial, Problem Based Learning, Metode Pembelajaran. ABSTRACT THE EFFECT OF THE PROBLEM BASED LEARNING MODEL IN INCREASING SOCIAL AWARENESS IN THE PANDEMIC TIME OF STUDENTS OF SMP NEGERI 12 BANDUNG This research was motivated by the curiosity of the researcher on the level of social awareness of students during the pandemic by using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model. Social concern is the feeling of being responsible for the difficulties faced by others and being compelled to do something about them. Caring cannot grow in everyone, but requires a process of training and education. There are many ways that can increase students' sense of social awareness, one of which is applying the Problem Based Learning model in their learning. Learning is strongly influenced by a learning method that is suitable for students, interesting, and also innovative. One of them is the Problem Based Learning model, by using this model students are directed to be able to solve a problem, and think critically about the problems they face and their social environment. There are several research findings, namely (a) From the findings in the field, at first the achievement of the experimental class was not greater than that of the control class (b) But after the implementation and giving of different behaviors, the experimental class was able to exceed the learning outcomes of the control class. (c) the control class applied conventional methods in learning, while the experimental class applied the Problem Based Learning learning model in the learning process.
