Abstract
Penelitian ini mengkaji fenomena menurunnya Profitabilitas pada PT Bakrie Telecom Tbk. Terdapat beberapa faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi menurunnya Profitabilitas, salah satunya adalah Struktur Modal PT Bakrie Telecom Tbk yang kurang optimal ditandai dengan tingginya jumlah hutang dibandingkan dengan modal sendiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1). Memperoleh gambaran struktur modal pada PT Bakrie Telecom Tbk. 2). Memperoleh gambaran profitabilitas pada PT Bakrie Telecom Tbk. 3). Memperoleh temuan pengaruh struktur modal terhadap profitabilitas pada PT Bakrie Telecom Tbk. Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah laporan keuangan PT Bakrie Telecom Tbk.tahun 2008-2012. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dan verifikatif, metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian time series design. Hasil penelitian dengan menggunakan rumus regresi sederhana menunjukkan variabel Struktur Modal (DER) berpengaruh terhadap Profitabilitas (ROA) dengan nilai intersep atau konstanta 11,849, nilai ini mengandung arti bahwa regresi memotong sumbu Y pada titik 11,849 dan merupakan nilai variabel dependen yaitu apabila tidak terjadi perubahan DER, maka nilai ROA pada PT. Bakrie Telecom Tbk sebesar 11,849%. Tingkat signifikansi struktur modal (DER) terhadap Profitabilitas (ROA) sebesar 0,001 yang lebih kecil dari tingkat signifikansi sebesar 0,05 sehingga struktur modal (DER) berpengaruh terhadap profitabilitas (ROA). Dari hasil pengujian tersebut, dapat diketahui bahwa hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu “Struktur modal (Debt to Equity Ratio) berpengaruh terhadap Profitabilitas (Return On Asset)” telah teruji. Oleh karena itu penulis menyarankan agar perusahaan memperhatikan struktur modal (DER) dengan cara memfokuskan pada penggunaan modal sendiri dibandingkan dengan menggunakan hutang agar dapat meningkatkan profitabilitas (ROA) PT. Bakrie Telecom Tbk. Kata Kunci : Struktur Modal (DER), Profitabilitas (ROA) This study examines the phenomenon of declining profitability on PT Bakrie Telecom Tbk. There are several factors that could affect the profitability decline, one of which is the Capital Structure of PT Bakrie Telecom Tbk a less than optimal is characterized by high amounts of debt compared to equity capital. This study aims to 1) Get a picture on the capital structure of PT Bakrie Telecom Tbk 2) Obtain a picture of the profitability of PT Bakrie Telecom Tbk 3) Obtain findings influence of capital structure on profitability in PT Bakrie Telecom Tbk. Objects in this study are the financial statements of PT. Bakrie Telecom Tbk 2008-2012. This type research is descriptive and verification, the method used in this research is quantitative research the type of time series design. The results using simple regression formula indicates variable Capital Structure (DER) effect on profitability (ROA) with the value of the intercept or constant 11.849, this value implies that the regression cutting the Y axis at 11.849 points and a value of the dependent variable that is if it does not happen DER changes, then the value of ROA at PT. Bakrie Telecom Tbk amounting to 11.849%. Significance level of the capital structure (DER) to profitability (ROA) of 0.001 which is smaller than the significance level of 0.05 so that the capital structure (DER) effect on profitability (ROA). From the test results, it can be seen that the hypothesis proposed in this study, the "Capital Structure (Debt to Equity Ratio) effect on Profitability (Return on Assets)" has been tested. Therefore, the authors suggest that companies pay attention to capital structure (DER) by focusing on the use of their own capital as opposed to using debt in order to increase profitability (ROA) PT.
