    Abstract

    ABSTRAK
    Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui profil miskonsepsi siswa SMA kelas XI di Kota Tasikmalaya pada materi reaksi reduksi dan oksidasi beserta faktor-faktor penyebab terjadinya miskonsepsi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian deskriptif dengan teknik sampling purposive. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan secara online menggunakan google formulir dengan instrumen tes diagnostik two tier multiple choice yang telah dikembangkan oleh peneliti sebelumnya dan dianalisis kembali oleh peneliti sehingga dari 7 konsep materi reaksi reduksi dan oksidasi diperoleh 12 butir soal yang valid dan realibel, serta angket untuk mengidentifikasi miskonsepsi pada materi reaksi reduksi dan oksidasi. Temuan dari penelitian ini adalah: (1) Siswa teridentifikasi miskonsepsi pada 7 konsep materi reaksi reduksi dan oksidasi yaitu pada konsep reaksi reduksi dan oksidasi berdasarkan penggabungan dan pelepasan oksigen, serah terima elektron, perubahan bilangan oksidasi, konsep reaksi autoredoks, konsep oksidator dan reduktor (2) Secara umum faktor siswa mengalami miskonsepsi pada materi reaksi reduksi dan oksidasi adalah faktor siswa dan faktor buku. Hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan perbaikan dalam pembelajaran agar miskonsepsi tidak terulang kembali.

    ABSTRACT
    This research aims to find out the misconception profile of second grade high school students in Tasikmalaya on the reduction and oxidation materials along with the factors that cause that misconceptions. This research method is descriptive research with purposive sampling technique. The data collection technique is carried out online using Google form with two-tier multiple-choice diagnostic test instrument that had been developed by previous researchers and reanalyzed by the researcher, so that from 7 material concepts of reduction and oxidation reaction, 12 valid and reliable items and questionnaire for identify the causes of misconceptions were obtained. The result of this research are: (1) 7 material concepts of reduction and oxidation reaction were identified as students misconceptions, namely the concept of reduction and oxidation reaction concept based on combination and release of oxygen, electron transfer, changes in oxidation numbers, autoredox reaction concept, oxidizing and reducing agens concept (2) the general factor of students’ misconception on reduction and oxidation reaction material are the textbook and the students themselves. The results of this study can be used as improvements in learning so that misconceptions do not recur again.
