Abstract
Penelitian ini berjudul “Penerapan Strategi Pembelajaran Inkuiri Untuk Meningkatkan Kemandirian Belajar Siswa Dalam Pembelajaran IPS”, penelitian ini berawal dari hasil observasi peneliti yang menemukan permasalahan kurangnya kemandirian belajar siswa di kelas VIII-D SMPN 44 Bandung, hal ini ditandai dengan banyaknya siswa yang tidak mempercayai kemampuannya sehingga selalu mengandalkan jawaban temannya untuk mengerjakan tugas. Melihat permasalahan tersebut maka peneliti akan melakukan penelitian dengan tujuan meningkatkan kemandirian belajar siswa-siswa kelas VIII-D SMPN 44 Bandung. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas, dalam pelaksanaanya penelitian tindakan kelas ini peneliti berkolaboratif dengan guru mitra untuk memperbaiki proses pembelajaran di kelas. Untuk melihat kemandirian belajar siswa, peneliti melakukan observasi kegiatan belajar siswa dengan menggunakan lembar cek kemandirian, wawancara terhadap siswa dan guru serta menganalisis hasil tugas lembar kerja siswa dari tindakan ke-I sampai tindakan ke-III. Setelah diterapkannya strategi pembelajaran inkuiri, peneliti menganalisis bahwa kemandirian belajar siswa lebih meningkat, hal ini terlihat dari aktifitas siswa yaitu siswa sudah mampu bertanggung jawab dalam mengerjakan tugas LKS ( lembar kerja siswa ) yang ditugaskan oleh guru dan dalam pengerjaanya, siswa menjawab semua soal yang diberikan oleh guru, berusaha sendiri dalam menyelesaikan tugas, dan tepat waktu dalam menyelesaikan tugas. Dan dalam aspek lain siswa pun sudah terlihat berusaha untuk mencari sumber belajar lain selain buku, misalnya dari internet ataupun dari sumber lainnya. Melihat aspek-aspek yang telah menunjukan kemandirian belajar siswa bisa tercapai, peneliti pun menganalisis bahwa kemandirian belajar siswa sudah meningkat setelah diterapkannya strategi pembelajaran inkuiri. Ini menjadikan bahwa strategi inkuiri ini sangat tepat untuk menjadikan siswa lebih mandiri dalam belajar. Kata Kunci : Strategi Pembelajaran Inkuiri, Kemandirian Belajar. The titled for this study "Application of Inquiry Learning Strategies To Enhance Student Independent Learning In Social Studies ", this study is originated from the observation of some researchers who discovered the problem that concist of lack independence of student learning in class VIII-D SMP 44 Bandung, it was characterized by the number of students who don’t believe with their capabilities so they always count on their friend answers to finish their task. Seeing these problems, the researchers will conduct research with the goal of improving students independence learning in class VIII-D SMP 44 Bandung. The method used in this study is action research, action research is implementation in this class with the teacher researchers collaboration partners to improve the learning process in the classroom. To check the students' independent learning, researchers conducted observations of student learning activities using self checks, interviews with students and teachers as well and analyzing the results of the student worksheets from action I to action III. After the implementation of inquiry learning strategies, researchers analyzed that some of the students learn about independence is increased it can be seen from the student activities that they are able to be responsible when they fill their LKS (student worksheet) assigned by the teacher and when they do the task, the students answer all the questions given by teacher himself , and completing the task in time. And in other aspects of the students had already seen trying to find learning resources other than books, such as from the Internet or from other sources. Looking at the aspects that have demonstrated student learning independence could be achieved, the researchers also analyzed that the independence of student learning has increased after the implementation of inquiry learning strategies. This makes that inquiry is the perfect strategy to make students more independent in learning Keywords: Inquiry Learning Strategies, Learning Independence.
