Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil studi pendahuluan terhadap nilai ujian akhir semester genap untuk kelas X salah satu SMA Negeri di Bandung. Rata-rata nilai UAS untuk mata pelajaran fisika masih tergolong rendah karena masih belum mencapai nilai KKM (Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimum) yang ditentukan oleh sekolah. Nilai KKM mata pelajaran fisika yang telah ditentukan adalah 75, sedangkan rata-rata nilai UAS untuk setiap kelas yaitu 60.Penggunaan multimedia dalam pembelajaran mempunyai kemampuan dalam menghadirkan objek-objek yang bersifat tidak tampak secara fisik, tetapi cocok dengan konsep sehingga bisa mengakomodasi siswa-siswa yang dianggap lamban dalam menerima pelajaran. Adapun model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) diharapkan dapat memberikan kesempatan kepada guru untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan gambaran mengenai peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa setelah menerapkan pembelajaran berbasis laboratorium virtual dalam model kooperatif tipe TGT. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan dan analisis data diperoleh kesimpulan sebagai berikut: (1) Pemahaman konsep siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media laboratorium virtual dalam model kooperatif tipe TGT mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan. Nilai rata-rata gain ternormalisasi untuk kelas eksperimen adalah sebesar 0,51 dan termasuk kategori sedang, dan (2) Pembelajaran fisika dengan menggunakan media berbasis laboratorium virtual membuat suasana pembelajaran menjadi lebih aktif dan menyenangkan. Hal ini dapat dilihat berdasarkan hasil respon siswa 81,82% siswa merasa pembelajaran fisika dengan menggunakan media laboratorium virtual membuat situasi pembelajaran lebih menyenangkan. Kata Kunci : pemahaman konsep, laboratorium virtual, TGT Based on the result of the previous study on the even semester final exam score for X class of one of the high schools in Bandung. The average score of final exam of physics subject is still relatively low because it does not reach KKM (Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimum- minimum completeness criteria) score yet as regulated by the school. The regulated KKM score of physics subject is 75 while the average score of final exam of each class is 60. The use of multimedia in learning has the ability to represent invisible objects physically but it appropriates with the concept which can accommodate students who considered tardy in receiving. As for the model of cooperative learning of Team Games Tournaments (TGT) type is expected to give the opportunity to teacher to increase students' comprehension about the concept. The aim of this study is to find out the representation of the increasing of students' comprehension of concept after the application of learning based on virtual laboratories of cooperative model of TGT type. The finding and the analysis of data show that 1. Students' comprehension of concept that using learning virtual laboratories in cooperative model of TGT type has significantly increased. The average score of gain normalized for experiment class is 0, 51 and it is counted in medium category 2. Learning physics by using virtual laboratories create the active and joyful atmosphere. It can be showed by the result of students' response is 81, 82% students feel physics subject by using virtual laboratories media make the atmosphere of learning more joyful.
