Abstract
Abstrak Bahasa Indonesia: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis bentuk dan proses pembentukan kata baru abreviasi dalam webtoon ‘Spirit Fingers (스피릿 핑거스)’ karya Han Kyung Chal. Data yang dikumpulkan dari metode deskrptif. Keabsahan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah konfirmabilitas. Penelitian kemudian mengungkapkan beberapa temuan yang signifikan. Pertama, terdapat 54 bentuk abreviasi dalam 168 episode webtoon “Spirit Fingers (스피릿 핑거스)”. Kedua, ditemukan 26 dari 54 abreviasi bahasa Korea dalam bentuk abreviasi kata frasa, abreviasi kata berulang, dan abreviasi awal, tengah, dan akhir. Keiga, terdapat 28 dari 54 abreviasi bahasa Korea dalam bentuk kalimat yang masing-masing mengambil dua hingga tiga kata dari kalimat webtoon. Abstrak Bahasa Inggris: This paper is a qualitative descriptive study which aims to analyze the form and process of forming new words for abbreviations in the webtoon “Spirit Fingers (스피릿 핑거스)” by Han Kyung Chal. The data were gathered from the descriptive methods. The validity of the data used in this study was confirmability. The study then revealed some significant findings. First, it is indicated that there were 54 forms of abbreviation in 168 episodes of the webtoon “Spirit Fingers (스피릿 핑거스)”. Second, it was found that there were 26 out of 54 Korean abbreviations in the forms of phrase abbreviations, repeated word abbreviations, and initial, middle, and end word abbreviations. Third, there were 28 out of 54 Korean abbreviations in the forms of setences which took two to three words each from the webtoon sentences.
