Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang model pendidikan karakter Islami di salah satu lembaga sekolah yang dinaungi oleh Yayasan Badan Perguruan Indonesia (BPI), yaitu SMP BPI 1 Bandung. Penelitian dilakukan sebagai upaya solusi dalam meningkatkan kualitas dan pengembangan terhadap ketercapaian tujuan dari pendidikan itu sendiri. Berbeda dengan mayoritas hasil penelitian yang lain yang secara umum lebih banyak membahas mengenai pendidikan karakter Islami di sekolah berbasis Islam Terpadu (IT) maupun pesantrren, penelitian ini akan mengkaji pada pendidikan karakter Islami sebagai salah satu instrumen pendidikan Islam di lembaga pendidikan umum. Fokus dalam penelitian ini mengacu pada pertanyaan peneliti mengenai perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi pendidikan karakter Islam serta kontribusi terhadap pembelajaran PAI di sekolah. Pendekatan kualitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif serta teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumen. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa model konseptual 3T=CPA (Takhalli, Tahalli, Tajalli = Cleansing, Porgraming, Actuating) diklaim sebagai gambaran mengenai proses pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter Islami yang dilakukan berdasarkan desain pendidikan karakter melalui strategi habituasi, ekstra/kokurikuler, serta integrasi dalam pembelajaran di kelas. Implementasi pendidikan karakter Islami dilaksanakan melalui program harian (Bintalis), program mingguan (Religi Club), serta program bulanan (Mabit). Nilai karakter Islami yang dibina kepada peserta didik meliputi karakter iman, taat, istiqomah, disiplin, bertanggung jawab, berilmu, jujur, dan sopan santun. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, maka peneliti juga menemukan bahwa pendidikan karakter Islami dapat direkomendasikan sebagai solusi serta berkontribusi dalam upaya menunjang ketercapaian tujuan dari pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI). This study examines the Islamic character education model in one of the school institutions that is shaded by the Yayasan Badan Perguruan Indonesia (BPI), namely SMP BPI 1 Bandung and is carried out as a solution effort in improving the quality and development of the achievement of the goals of education itself. In contrast to the majority of other research results which generally discuss Islamic character education in Integrated Islam-based schools (IT) and Islamic boarding schools, this study examines Islamic character education as an instrument of Islamic education in general educational institutions. This study focuses on research questions regarding the planning, implementation, and evaluation of Islamic character education and the contribution to Islamic education learning in schools. A qualitative approach is used in this research using descriptive methods and data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and document study. The implementation of Islamic character education at SMP BPI 1 Bandung is carried out through Islamic religious education-based programs consisting of Bina Mental Ajaran Islam (Bintalis), Religi-Club, and the Malam Bina Iman dan Takwa (Mabit). The results of the study found that the conceptual model 3T = CPA (Takhalli, Tahalli, Tajalli = Cleansing, Porgraming, Actuating) is claimed to simply be a description of the implementation procedure for Islamic character education which is carried out based on character education design through habituation, extra / co-curricular strategies, and deep integration. classroom learning. Islamic character values that are fostered to students include the character of faith, obedience, discipline, responsibility, knowledge, honesty, and courtesy. Based on the results, the researchers found that Islamic character education can be recommended as a solution and contribute to efforts to support the achievement of the goals of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning.
