Abstract
Tidak ada satupun siswa yang mendapatkan nilai akhir hasil uji kompetensi keahlian Teknik Gambar Mesin (TGM) pada interval nilai 9,0-10 (tertinggi) pada tahun pelajaran 2011/2012, serta tingginya angka tingkat pengangguran terbuka (TPT) bagi lulusan SMK, menjadi salah satu alasan dilakukannya penelitian ini. Nilai akhir hasil uji kompetensi keahlian TGM merupakan hasil penggabungan daripada hasil uji kompetensi teori dan praktik kejuruan TGM, sehingga tinggi rendahnya nilai akhir yang diperoleh siswa, dipengaruhi oleh tinggi rendahnya nilai hasil uji kompetensi teori dan praktik kejuruan yang diperoleh siswa setelah mengikuti uji kompetensi keahlian tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini, secara umum untuk mengetahui seberapa besar kontribusi hasil uji kompetensi teori kejuruan terhadap hasil uji kompetensi praktik kejuruan siswa TGM pada tahun pelajaran 2012/2013 di SMK Negeri 2 Kota Bandung, serta untuk mengetahui tingkat relevansi materi uji kompetensi teori kejuruan terhadap praktik kejuruan yang diujikan pada uji kompetensi keahlian TGM. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode desktriptif korelasional dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 31 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa; hasil uji kompetensi teori kejuruan dan praktik kejuruan TGM tahun pelajaran 2012/2013 berada pada kategori atau predikat baik, hasil uji kompetensi teori kejuruan berkontribusi terhadap hasil uji kompetensi praktik kejuruan TGM tahun pelajaran 2012/2013 berada pada kategori tinggi, serta materi uji kompetensi teori kejuruan berada pada kategori telah memenuhi terhadap materi uji kompetensi praktik kejuruan TGM tahun pelajaran 2012/2013. Kata Kunci: Kontribusi, kompetensi, teori kejuruan, praktik kejuruan, relevansi. No students got final results in machinery drawing engineering (MDE) competence test in the interval of 9,0-10 (highest points) in the academic year of 2011/2012, and the high rates of open unemployment among vocational schools graduates were the reasons behind this research. The final results of MDE vocational competence test were taken from the result of theoretical competence test and practical MDE competence test, thus the high or low scores of the competence test results are affected by the high or low scores students got in both theoretical competence test and practical competence test after taking the competence tests. The aims of this study in general were to find out how much contributions that the vocational theory competence test result gave to vocational practice MDE competence test result in the academic year of 2012/2013 in SMK Negeri 2 Bandung, also to find out the degree of relevance of the material in vocational theory competence test towards vocational practice tested in vocational MDE competence test. The methodology used in this research was correlational descriptive method with 31 students as the research subjects. It can be concluded that: the result of vocational theory and practice MDE competence test in the academic year of 2012/2013 lies in the good category or predicate, the result of vocational theory competence test gives high contribution towards the result of vocational practice MDE competence test in the academic year of 2012/2013, and the material in vocational theory competence test is relevant with that in vocational practice MDE competence test in the academic year of 2012/2013.
