Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan pada Mahasiswa S1 DPTM FPTK UPI angkatan 2017. Angkatan 2017 dipilih karena mahasiswa tersebut sedang mengontrak mata kuliah Teknik Pelapisan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil belajar yang diperoleh mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Metal Arc Spraying dengan menggunakan penerapan multimedia Animasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode pre-experimental, dengan menggunakan pengembangan dari desain one group pretest- posttest. Kelompok terbagi menjadi yang diberi treatment atau perlakuan berupa penerapan multimedia Animasi, dan selanjutnya dilakukan observasi pretest dan posttest. Teknik pemilihan sampel pada penelitian ini adalah sampel purposive. Peneliti menentukan kelas S1 2017 sebagai sampel penelitian karena kelas tersebut sedang mengontrak mata kuliah Teknik Pelapisan pada tahun ajaran 2017-2018. Meningkatnya hasil belajar setiap mahasiswa sesudah mendapatkan treatment/perlakuan menggunakan multimedia animasi lebih tinggi dibanding sebelum mendapatkan treatment/perlakuan menggunakan multimedia animasi. Data peningkatan hasil belajar mahasiswa diukur dengan menggunakan instrumen tes pilihan ganda sebanyak 25 soal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata N-gain termasuk dalam kategori sedang, dengan jumlah persentase mahasiswa mengalami peningkatan menjadi 52,77% setelah mendapatkan treatment/perlakuan, yang sebelumnya berjumlah 19,44%. Hasil penelitian ini dalam penerapan multimedia animasi cukup efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar. Class 2017 was chosen because the student was contracting a Coating Technique course. This research aims to describe the learning result obtained by students in the Metal Arc Spraying course using the application of multimedia animation. The research method used in this study is a pre-experimental method, using the development of a one group pretest-posttest design. Groups were divided into those who were given treatment in the form of the application of multimedia animation, and then the pretest and posttest observations were carried out. The sample selection technique in this study was purposive sample. Researchers determined the 2017 S1 class as the research sample because the class was contracting the Coating Technique course in the 2017-2018 school year. The increase in learning result of each student after getting treatment using multimedia animation is higher than before getting treatment using multimedia animation. The data on the improvement of student learning outcomes was measured using a multiple choice test instrument of 25 questions. The results showed an average N-gain was included in the medium category, with the percentage of students experiencing an increase to 52.77% after receiving treatment, which previously amounted to 19.44%. The results of this research in the application of multimedia animation are quite effective in improving learning outcomes.
