Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi perlunya média pembelajaran inovatif dan kreatif agar bisa meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam pembelajaran bahasa Sunda salah satunya mendongeng. Karena adanya Pandemik COVID-19, proses pembelajaran kali ini harus melalui PJJ (Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh) di luar lingkungan sekolah. Wayang golék fabel sebagai sebuah média inovatif dan kreatif dapat dijadikan média pembelajaran yang mampuh meningkatkan proses pembelajaran basa Sunda hususna kamampuh ngadongéng siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan kemampuan mendongéng siswa sebelum, dan sesudah, menggunakan média wayang golék fabel. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain one group Pre-test dan Post-test. Teknik yang digunakan yaitu tes kemampuan mendongeng dengan seumber datanya siswa kelas VII-7 SMP Negeri 11 Depok Tahun Ajaran 2020/2021. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah: (1) kemampuan mendongéng siswa sebelum menggunakan média wayang golék fabel berkategori sedang, dengan rata-rata nilain 53,92, (2) kemampuan mendongeng siswa sesudah menggunakan média wayang golék fabel berkategori bagus, dengan rata-rata nilai 70,4, (3) ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan mendongeng siswa sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan media wayang golek fabel. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, bisa disimpulkan bahwa media wayang golek fabel bisa meningkatkan kemampuan mendongéng siswa di kelas VII-7 SMP Negeri 11 Depok Tahun Ajaran 2020/2021. This research is motivated by the need for innovative learning media creative tours in order to improve student’s abilities in learning Sundanese, one of which storytelling. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the learning process this time has to go through PJJ (Distance Learning) outside the school environment. The wayang golek fabel as an innovative and creative medium can be used as a learning medium that is capable of improving the learning process of the Sundanese language especially for student’s storytelling ability. The purpose of this study was to describe the student’s storytelling abilities before, and after, using the fairytale puppet show method. This study used a quasi-experimental method with one group pre-test and post-test design. The technique used is a storytelling ability test with the data source for grade VII-7 students of SMP Negeri 11 Depok academic year 2020/2021. the results of this study were: (1) the student’s storytelling ability before using the wayang golek fabel was in the medium category, with an average score of 53,92, (2) the student’s storytelling ability after using the wayang golek fabel was in the medium category, with an average 70,4, (3) there is a significant difference between student’s storytelling abilities before and after using the fable puppet show media. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the wayang golek fabel media can improve the student’s storytelling ability in class VII-7 of SMP Negeri 11 Depok Academic Year 2020/2021.
