Abstract
Suatu gambaran secara umum mengenai dinamika populasi dalam jangka waktu yang panjang dapat diselidiki menggunakan suatu matriks persegi khusus yaitu matriks Leslie. Misalkan L=〖[l〗_ij] adalah matriks persegi berderajat n sedemikian sehingga l_ij≥0 untuk j=1,2,…,n ; 0<l_ij≤1, dimana j=i-1 untuk i=2,3,…,n ; dan l_ij=0 untuk i=2,3,…,n dan j=1,2,…,n ; j≠i-1. Matriks L disebut Matriks Leslie. Perhatikanlah bahwa setiap pemangkatan dari matriks Leslie L=[■(0&0&6@1/2&0&0@0&1/3&0)] adalah I,L,L^2. Pada tulisan ini akan diberikan karakterisasi matriks Leslie berderajat tiga sedemikian sehingga pemangkatan dari matriks Leslie L yaitu I,L,L^2, serta penghitungan nilai eigen dan vektor eigen akan diterapkan pada masalah dinamika populasi dengan menggunakan matriks Leslie. Kata kunci: nilai eigen, vektor eigen, Matriks Leslie, demografi. A general description of the population dynamics in a long period of time can be investigated using a particular square matrix is a Leslie matrix. Let [l_ij ] is a square matrix with n degree such that l_ij≥0 for j=1,2,…,n ; 0<l_ij≤1, j=i-1 for i=2,3,…,n ; and l_ij=0 for i=2,3,…,n and j=1,2,…,n ; j≠i-1. L is called Leslie matrix. Note that every power of the Leslie matrix L=[■(0&0&6@1/2&0&0@0&1/3&0)] are I,L,L^2. In this paper will be given a Leslie matrix characterization of three degree such that power of the Leslie matrix are I,L,L^2, as well as the calculation of eigenvalues and eigenvectors will be applied to the problem of population dynamics using the Leslie matrix .
