Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi miskonsepsi serta penyebabnya pada siswa oleh five-tier test dalam materi kinematika gerak lurus. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif jenis deskriptif-eksploratif, peneliti juga menggunakan instrumen five-tier diagnostic test untuk mengambil data. Penentuan sampel saat pengambilan data diambil dengan teknik Purposive Sampling. Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap 120 orang siswa dengan jumlah laki-laki 55 orang dan perempuan 65 orang yang berasal dari SMA di Kabupaten Bandung Barat dan tiga SMA di Kabupaten Majalengka. Berdasarkan hasil validasi, menunjukkan bahwa 12 butir soal dikategorikan valid dan nilai reliabilitasnya sebesar 0.93 yang termasuk ke dalam kategori bagus sekali. Berdasarkan hasil menggunakan analisis data CDQ (Confidence Discrimination Quotient), diperoleh bahwa miskonsepsi yang teridentifikasi dengan persentase terbesar terdapat pada konsep posisi sebesar 49.17%, serta penyebab miskonsepsi bersumber dari buku, informasi teman, pengalaman siswa (pemikiran sendiri, internet, dsb), dan penjelasan guru (cara mengajar guru) dan yang paling dominan adalah pemikiran sendiri. This study aims to identify the profile of misconceptions and the causes of students ' misconceptions in a straight line motion kinetics by a five-tier test. By using quantitative research method with descriptive-exploratory type, the researcher also used a five-tier diagnostic test instrument to retrieve data. The samples were taken by using the purposive sampling technique. This research was conducted on 120 students with 55 male students and 65 female students from senior high schools in West Bandung Regency and three senior high schools in Majalengka Regency. Based on the validation results, it shows that 12 items are categorized as valid and the reliability value is 0.93 which is included in the "very good" reliable category. Based on the results using CDQ (Confidence Discrimination Quotient) data analysis, it was found that the misconceptions identified with the largest percentage were in the concepts of position 49.17%, and the causes of misconceptions came from books, friend information, student experiences (own thoughts, internet , etc.), and the teacher's explanation (how to teach the teacher) and the most dominant is personal experience.
