Abstract

Kemampuan koneksi matematis dalam pembelajaran matematika memberikan penekanan pada keterampilan penerapan matematika baik dalam kehidupan sehari-hari maupun membangun dalam mempelajari ilmu lainnya. Hal ini dilandasi oleh tujuan pembelajaran matematika pada Kurikulum Nasional dalam mencapai kompetensi lulusan di sekolah menengah. Penelitian mengenai kemampuan koneksi matematis bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan koneksi matematis. Faktor-faktor ini diharapkan dapat membantu siswa dalam memenuhi kebutuhan dan pengalaman belajarnya terutama pada materi Sistem Pertidaksamaan Linear Dua Variabel. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif melalui pendekatan studi kasus dengan teknik purposive sampling. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X pada salah satu SMA Swasta di Kabupaten Bandung Barat. Berdasarkan analisis hasil tes, wawancara, dan studi dokumen dapat disimpulkan bahwa kategori kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa pada materi SPtLDV sangat kurang dengan persentase sebesar 21,67%. Selain itu, ditemukan faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa SMA pada materi SPtLDV yaitu kurangnya penguasaan materi SPtLDV dan materi prasyarat seperti pertidaksamaan linear satu variabel, ketidaksesuaian alokasi waktu Program Semester, dan RPP. Kata Kunci : kemampuan koneksi matematis, faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi kemampuan koneksi matematis, SPtLDV, studi kasus, purposive sampling. Mathematical connection ability in learning mathematics emphasizes the skill of applying mathematics both in everyday life and build in other science studies. It is based on the purpose of learning mathematics on National Curriculum in achieving competences in high school graduates. Research on the mathematical connection ability intends to analyze and understand the factors that influence the mathematical connection ability. These factors are expected to help students on their learning needs and experience especially in the matter of System Inequality Linear Two Variables. This research method used a qualitative method with case study approach using the purposive sampling techniques. The subjects of this research were students on grade X at selected private senior high school in West Bandung. Based on analyze from the test results, interview, and document study it can be implied that category of student' mathematical connection ability in the matter of System Inequality Linear Two Variables was much less with the percentage by 21,67%. In addition, the factors that was found to influence the student' senior high school mathematical connection ability in the matter of System Inequality Linear Two Variables are the less understanding of System Inequality Linear Two Variables material and the prerequisite material for example Inequality Linear One Variables and allocation of time program the semester and lesson plans are not suitable.
