Abstract
Pemanfaatan Ecobrick dalam Pengelolaan Sampah Anorganik di Desa Panggangsari Kecamatan Losari Kabupaten Cirebon. (ABSTRAK) Manusia tidak bisa lepas dari kegiatan produksi-konsumsi-distribusi, melihat fakta sering dilaksanakan rantai kegiatan ekonomi tersebut maka berdampak pada peningkatan jumlah sampah yang dihasilkan. Sampah anorganik menjadi sorotan dunia karena sifatnya yang sulit terurai. Desa Panggangsari merupakan salah satu desa yang memiliki masalah sampah dan pencemaran sungai oleh sampah anorganik. Desa Panggangsari menerapkan pengelolaan sampah dengan metode Ecobrick yang berfokus dalam pengelolaan sampah plastik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengelolaan sampah anorganik dengan metode Ecobrick dan manfaat yang dirasakan masyarakat selama program diterapkan. Penelitian menggunakan tradisi kualitatif, dengan teknik Observasi, Wawancara, dan Dokumentasi. Data yang telah diperoleh kemudian direduksi dan dianalisis. Hasil menunjukan bahwa alasan warga memilih Ecobrick karena metode tersebut berfokus pada sampah anorganik yang sebelumnya memenuhi sungai dan metode Ecobrick sangat mudah dan sederhana untuk diterapkan. Masyarakat menerapkan Ecobrick dengan cara (1) Mengumpulkan dan membersihkan sampah, (2) Memisahkan sampah plastik dan botol plastik sesuai ukuran, (3) Sampah plastik dipadatkan kedalam botol, (4) Sampah dibentuk sesuai yang diinginkan (5) Mengecek kekuatan Produk. Penerapan Ecobrick telah memberikan manfaat bagi Desa, baik dari segi ekonomi maupun kebersihan lingkungan dan mampu mengurangi banjir. Walaupun dalam penerapannya masih terdapat hambatan dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa Ecobrick dapat menjadi solusi kreatif dalam pengelolaan sampah dan sejalan dengan prinsip 3R (Recycle, Reuse Reduce). The Inorganic Waste Management By Using Ecobrick In Panggangsari Village Losari District Cirebon Regency. (ABSTRACT) Production, consumption and distribution is daily human activity that could not be avoidable. The fact that this economical systems it produces an significant amount of waste. Inorganic waste has became the world biggest concern as it difficult to decompose. Panggangsari Village is one of the villages that has the problem with waste and river pollution by inorganic waste. Panggangsari village has implemented waste management by using the Ecobrick Method which focused on managing plastic waste. This research aims to analyze the inorganic waste management using Ecobrick Method and the benefit felt by the community during the implementation. This research is using qualitative method by observation, interview and documentation. The collected data I reduced and being analyzed. The result shows that people is choosing Ecobrick because it is focused on inorganic waste which has fill up the river, Ecobrick is easy and simple to apply. People is implementing Ecobrick by (1) collecting and and clean up the waste, (2) sorting the plastic waste and bottle by its size, (3) plastic waste is compacted in the bottle, (4) The waste is shaped as needed (5) checking its strength. The implementation of Ecobrick has provided benefit for the village, both in economy and environmental cleanliness and also has reduce flooding. Although in its implementation has some difficulties. In conclusion, in this research Ecobrick has became a creative solution in waste management and it goes along with 3R Principles (Recycle, Reuse and Reduce).
