Abstract
Kemajuan suatu bangsa tidak hanya bersandar pada pembangunan kognitif, melainkan juga pada pembangunan karakter masyarakatnya. Ada perbedaan karakter yang terbentuk dari rentang waktu setiap generasinya. Hal ini dikarenakan adanya gap antara nilai-nilai ideal yang diajarkan oleh generasi yang lebih tua dengan realitas yang dihadapi generasi muda saat ini. Pemerintah telah menyadari bahaya yang ditimbulkan, Usaha pemerintah dalam mewujudkan masyarakat yang pandai dan memiliki karakter yang kuat telah dicanangkan sebagai salah satu program pembangunan nasional. Grand theory yang digunakan adalah Thomas Lickona dan Goleman mengenai Pendidikan Karakter. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif dan metode studi kasus, diharapkan dapat memberikan analisis lengkap mengenai gambaran karakter anak seminari, program yang dilakukan pengurus seminari, proses habituasi serta hambatan dan upaya dalam membina karakter disiplin. Dengan menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi, ditemukan temuan bahwa proses pembinaan karakter disiplin menggunakan metode habituasi dapat dilakukan dengan memberikan program dan jadwal kegiatan yang sistematis dan dapat diterima oleh anak, memberikan tanggung jawab serta kepercayaan, melakukan pengawasan, memberi sanksi dan reward sebagai bentuk evaluasi dengan memenuhi aspek Cageur (Sanitas), Bageur (Soci-alitas), Bener (Religiositas), Pinter (Intellectualitas), Singer (Integritas). Kata Kunci: Karakter Disiplin, Habituasi, Seminari. STRENGTHENING HABITUATION at CHARACTER DISCIPLINE EDUCATION in SEMINARY RELIGIOUS INSTITUTIONS (Descriptive Study in Seminary Menengah Keuskupan Cadas Hikmat Bandung) Ujang Erik 1, Dadang Sundawa 2 Students of Postgraduate Citizenship Education Department UPI Email: Ujang.erik07@gmail.com ABSTRACT The progress of a nation does not only rely on cognitive development, but on building the character of the people. There are different characters that are formed from the time span of each generation. This is due to the gap between the ideal values taught by the older generation and the reality facing the younger generation today. The government has realized the danger posed, Government efforts in realizing a smart society and having a strong character have been declared as one of the national development programs. The grand theory used is Thomas Lickona and Goleman regarding Character Education. Through a qualitative approach and descriptive study method, it is expected to provide a complete analysis of the character description of seminary children, the program conducted by the seminary management, the process of habituation as well as obstacles and efforts in fostering the character of discipline. By using observation, interview and documentation techniques, found that the process of fostering the discipline of character using the habituation method can be done by providing a program and a systematic schedule of activities and can be accepted by children, give responsibility and trust, supervise, sanction and reward as a form of evaluation with pay attention to aspects Cageur (Sanitas), Bageur (Soci-alitas), Bener (Religiositas), Pinter (Intellectualitas), and Singer (Integritas).
