Abstract

Program layanan pembelajaran musik bagi anak autis dalam implementasinya masih banyak kendala dalam komunikasi antara guru dan siswa. Penelitian menunjukkan sebesar 50% anak dengan spektrum autistik tidak akan mengembangkan kemampuan bicara yang memadai untuk memenuhi kebutuhan komunikasinya (Noens & Van-Berckelaer, 2004). Sehingga alat komunikasi seperti Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) menjadi diperlukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menemukan sistem AAC yang tepat dalam pembelajaran musik bagi anak autis yaitu bagaimana pengembangan sistem AAC dalam pembelajaran musik serta dampaknya pada kemampuan musik bagi anak autis. Mixed Method Research sebagai pendekatan dengan kualitatif deskriptif untuk mengeksplore data dalam mengembangkan sistem AAC dan Single Subject Research untuk menganalisis perubahan kemampuan subjek. Temuannya; (1) Pengembangan sistem AAC untuk pengembangan kemampuan belajar musik anak autis adalah pengembangan kartu AAC berbasis asesmen yang dikelompokan berdasarkan materi, (2) Analisis dampak pengembangan yang berdampak signifikan terhadap pengembangan pembelajaran musik bagi anak autis yang ditunjukan pada perubahan kemampuan musik materi notasi, dinamika dan tempo dengan mendukung fungsi komunikasi pada pembelajaran. Temuan ini dapat menjadi pertimbangan mendasar dalam pengembangan sistem AAC selanjutnya. Pengembangan sistem ini hendaknya dijadikan sebagai inovasi dalam konteks layanan pendidikan bagi anak autis. Bagi peneliti selanjutnya, pengembangan ini dapat dijadikan peta jalan untuk lebih dikembangkan pada hambatan mata pelajaran lainnya. Music learning service program for children with autistic in its implementation, there are still many difficulties in communication between teachers and students. Research indicates that as many 50% of children with autism spectrum disorders will not develop adequate speech to meet their communication needs (Noens & Van-Berckelaer, 2004). Therefore, alternate means of communication such as Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) are needed.This research aims to find an Augmentative and alternative communication system in learning music for autistic children, how the development of AAC systems in learning music and impact on music abilities for children with autism. Mixed Method Research as a descriptive qualitative approach to explore data in developing AAC systems and Single Subject Research to analyze changes in subject abilities. The findings: (1) Development of Augmentative and Alternative Communication Systems in developing music learning abilities of autistic children is the development of AAC-based assessment cards that are grouped based on material (2) Analysis of the development impact has a real impact on the development of music learning abilities for autistic children as indicated by changes in communication behavior abilities in learn notation, dynamics and tempo material. In conclusion, AAC system in music learning shows visible accomplishment. Besides, AAC system has been proven to have a strong impact on communication skills to help students' communication function which is the ability of skills in learning music and communication will increase in the end. This finding can be a fundamental consideration in the development of augmentative communication systems and following alternatives. The development of this system should be used as an innovation in the context of Education services for autistic children. For future researchers, this development can be used as a road map to be further developed in the constraints of other subjects.
