Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merumuskan model supervisi akademik dalam proses pembentukan karakter baik dan kuat peserta didik di SMA Daarut Tauhiid Boarding School Kabupaten Bandung Barat. Model supervisi akademik tersebut dirumuskan untuk membantu para guru dalam pembentukan karakter peserta didik yang terjadi pada proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran di kelas, karena program supervisi akademik yang dilakukan selama ini belum dapat membantu para guru dalam melakukan proses pembentukan karakter peserta didik dalam pembelajaran di kelas. Penelitian ini menggunakan Action Research dengan model ADDIE (analysis, design, develop, implementation, evaluation). Penelitian ini didahului dengan studi implementasi program supervisi akademik dan studi implementasi pembentukan karakter baik dan kuat di SMA DTBS. Perumusan model supervisi akademik berbasis karakter baik dan kuat menggunakan GROW-ME divalidasi oleh validator ahli dan praktisi. Tahap uji coba model supervisi akademik diberikan kepada 3 orang guru, dan pada tahap implementasi model supervisi akademik diberikan kepada 6 orang guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: (1) Implementasi Supervisi akademik yang dilakukan selama ini belum dapat memberikan dampak yang signifikan terhadap pembentukan karakter peserta didik; (2) Implementasi pembentukan karakter baik dan kuat pada peserta didik belum dapat memberikan dampak yang optimal; (3) Perumusan model supervisi akademik berbasis karakter baik & kuat dilakukan dengan mengembangkan instrumen supervisi pelaksanaan pembelajaran yang terdapat pada modul pelatihan penguatan kepala sekolah yang disusun oleh kemendikbud terkait supervisi dan penilaian kinerja guru; 4) Model supervisi akademik berbasis karakter baik dan kuat dapat membantu guru dalam mengembangkan kompetensi yang diperlukan dalam proses pembentukan karakter peserta didik. Kelebihan model supervisi akademik berbasis karakter baik dan kuat dapat membangun kesadaran dan meningkatkan motivasi guru dalam proses pembentukan karakter baik dan kuat peserta didik dalam pembelajaran di kelas. Adapun kelemahannya sangat membutuhkan proses yang panjang dalam proses pelaksanaannya.----------------------------------------------- This study aims to formulate a model of academic supervision in the process of building good and strong character of students at SMA Daarut Tauhiid Boarding School. The academic supervision model was formulated to help teachers to strengthen the character of students that occurred in learning process because academic supervision which was conducted cannot able to help teachers in conducting character building for students in classroom learning. This study uses Action Research with ADDIE model (analysis, design, develop, implementation, evaluation). This research was preceded by a study on implementation of an academic supervision program and a study on the implementation of building good and strong character in SMA DTBS. The formulation of a good and strong character-based academic supervision model using GROW-ME was validated by experts and practitioners. The trial phase of the academic supervision model was given to 3 teachers and the implementation was given to 6 teachers. The results showed that: (1) the implementation of academic supervision which was conducted is able to have a significant impact on building student character ; (2) Implementation of good and strong character building in students has not been able to provide an optimal impact; (3) The formulation of a good & strong character-based academic supervision model is conducted through developing an instrument of supervision contained in training module of principal strengthening prepared by the Ministry of Education and Culture related to teacher performance evaluation and supervision; 4) A good and strong character-based academic supervision model can help teachers develop the competencies needed in the process of character building students. The advantages of the model can build awareness and increase teacher to build good and strong character of students in learning.
