Abstract

Hydraulic Power steering adalah suatu sistem kemudi pemberi assist atau tenaga tambahan untuk mengendalikan arah laju kendaraan dengan mengubah energi potensial cair menjadi energi gerak mekanik piston. Tujuan analisis ini yaitu untuk mengetahui komponen sistem hydraulic power steering, besar gaya dorong power piston, mengetahui troubleshooting dan cara perawatan pada sistem hydraulic power steering. Metode yang dilakukan dalam analisis ini yaitu studi literatur dan melakukan pengamatan lapangan tentang sistem kemudi kendaraan AN140. Analisis ini merupakan salah satu syarat penyusunan tugas akhir dan untuk memperoleh gelar Ahli Madya. Berdasarkan hasil analisis sistem hydraulic power steering memiliki beberapa komponen yaitu steering wheel, steering column, vane pump, reservoir tank dan tube/hose, hasil dari perhitugan gaya dorong power piston adalah sebesar 1.946,54 kg atau 19.465,4 N, permasalahan yang sering terjadi pada sistem hydraulic power steering diantaranya steering wheel terasa berat dan salah satu perawatan pada sistem hydraulic power steering adalah selalu menjaga kualitas serta volume oli power steering. Hydraulic Power steering is a steering system that provides additional power to control the direction of the vehicle's speed by converting the liquid potential energy to the mechanical motion of the piston. The purpose of this analysis is to determine the components of the hydraulic power steering system, the magnitude of the thrust of the power piston, to find out the troubleshooting and maintenance methods for the hydraulic power steering system. The method used in this analysis is literature studies and field observations about the AN140 vehicle steering system. This analysis is one of the requirements for preparing the final project and for obtaining the title of Associate Expert. Based on the analysis, the hydraulic power steering system has several components, namely the steering wheel, steering column, vane pump, reservoir tank and tube / hose, the results of the calculation of the power piston thrust is 1,946.54 kg or 19,465.4 N, problems that often occur in the hydraulic power steering system include the steering wheel feeling heavy and one of the maintenance on the hydraulic power steering system is to always maintain the quality and volume of power steering oil.
