Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar siswa. Selain itu kurangnya pengaplikasian model pembelajaran dalam mengimplementasikan pembelajaran IPS menjadi kendala yang menyebabkan siswa bosan. Dari permasalahan tersebut, peneliti mencoba menggunakan model pembelajaran Kooperatip Tipe Numbered Heads Together sebagai salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar dalam pembelajaran IPS. Numbered Heads Together adalah model pembelajaran yang memberi kesempatan kepada siswa untuk saling membagikan ide-ide dan mempertimbangkan jawaban yang paling tepat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk (1) mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan model Kooperatif tipe Numbered Head Together (NHT) untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa di kelas IV, (2) mendeskripsikan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar setelah menerapkan model Kooperatif tipe Numbered Head Together(NHT). Subjek penelitian di SDN Gadis 02 terdiri dari 15 orang siswa. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini menggunakan model Kem mis dan McTaggart yang terdiri dari dua siklus dan setiap siklus terdiri dari dua tindakan. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran, lembar observasi, lembar catatan lapangan, dan LKK. Sedangkan teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, penilaian hasil belajar, dan dokumentasi. Data yang didapatkan berupa data kualitatif dan kuantitatif yang disajikan dalam bentuk statistika deskriptif. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh adalah (1) model Kooperatif tipe Numbered Head Together dalam pembelajaran IPS dilakukan dalam empat tahapan yaitu penomoran (numbering), pengajuan pertanyaan (questioning), berpikir bersama (heads together, dan pemberian jawaban(answering) dapat meningkatkan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa. (2) Hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS menggunakan model Kooperatif tipe Numbered Head Together mengalami peningkatan pada setiap siklus. Nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS pada pra siklus adalah 65,33, pada siklus I 75 dan siklus II 80,67. Dengan demikian model Kooperatif tipe Numbered Head Together dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar dalam pembelajaran IPS di sekolah dasar. This research is motivated by the low student learning outcomes. In addition, the lack of application of learning models in implementing social studies learning is an obstacle that causes students to get bored. From these problems, the researchers tried to use the Cooperative Learning Model Type Numbered Heads Together as a way to improve learning outcomes in social studies learning. Numbered Heads Together is a learning model that gives students the opportunity to share ideas with each other and consider the most appropriate answers. The objectives of this study were (1) to describe the implementation of learning with the Numbered Head Together (NHT) cooperative model to improve student learning outcomes in grade IV, (2) to describe the improvement in learning outcomes of fourth grade elementary school students after applying the cooperative model type Numbered Head Together. (NHT). The research subjects at SDN Gadis 02 consisted of 15 students. This classroom action research used the Kem Mis and McTaggart model which consisted of two cycles and each cycle consisting of two actions. The instruments used were learning implementation plans, observation sheets, field note sheets, and LKK. While the data collection techniques used were observation, assessment of learning outcomes, and documentation. The data obtained are in the form of qualitative and quantitative data which are presented in the form of descriptive statistics. The conclusions obtained are (1) the Numbered Head Together cooperative model in social studies learning is carried out in four stages, namely numbering, asking questions (questioning), thinking together (heads together, and giving answers) can increase the average score. Student learning outcomes (2) Student learning outcomes in social studies learning using the Cooperative type Numbered Head Together model increased in each cycle The average value of student learning outcomes in social studies learning in pre-cycle was 65.33, in cycle I 75 and cycle II 80.67.Thus the Numbered Head Together cooperative model can be used as an alternative learning to improve learning outcomes in social studies learning in elementary schools.
