Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi atas permasalahan siswa kelas IV yang ada di SDIT Bina Muda Cicalengka. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dengan wali kelas sebelum dilakukannya penelitian, dapat diketahui bahwa kemampuan siwa dalam menulis dan membaca masih rendah, terbukti bahwa masih ada beberapa siswa yang mengalami kesulitan dalam materi ide pokok paragraf. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk 1) mendeskripsikan kemampuan siswa dalam menentukan ide pokok paragraf siswa kelas IV SD, 2) menganalisis kesulitan dalam menentukan ide pokok paragraf siswa kelas IV SD, dan 3) menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi siswa kesulitan dalam menentukan ide pokok paragraf siswa kelas IV SD. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu tes, kuesioner, dan wawancara. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, 1) dari 20 siswa yang mengerjakan soal tes, hanya 6 siswa yang memperoleh nilai di bawah KKM, jika dipersentasikan siswa yang sudah tuntas adalah 70% (14 siswa) dan siswa yang belum tuntas adalah 30% (6 siswa), 2) jenis kesulitan yang dialami oleh siswa yaitu pada indikator ketepatan dalam menentukan ide pokok paragraf, 3) berdasarkan hasil wawancara, ada 3 faktor penyebab siswa mengalami kesulitan yaitu, faktor internal seperti belum memahami materi ide pokok, dan kurangnya konsentrasi siswa. Faktor eksternal yaitu guru tidak menggunakan model atau metode khusus untuk materi ide pokok, penggunaan media pembelajaran yang terbatas yang menyebabkan siswa merasa bosan saat proses pembelajaran. Faktor pendekatan yaitu pendekatan belajar yang dilakukan oleh orang tua siswa di rumah tentunya memiliki pendekatan yang berbeda, itu artinya setiap siswa memiliki kemampuan serta mendapatkan hasil yang berbeda pada proses pembelajaran. ----- This research was motivated by the problems of fourth grade students at SDIT Bina Muda Cicalengka. Based on the results of interviews with the homeroom teacher prior to conducting the research, it can be seen that the students' ability in writing and reading is still low, it is proven that there are still some students who have difficulty in the subject matter of the main paragraphs. The purpose of this research is to 1) describe the students' ability in determining the main ideas of paragraphs for fourth grade students of elementary school, 2) to analyze the difficulties in determining the main ideas of paragraphs of fourth grade elementary school students, and 3) to analyze the factors that affect the difficulty of students in determining the main idea. paragraphs of fourth grade elementary school students. This study used qualitative research methods. The data collection techniques used were tests, questionnaires, and interviews. The results of the study showed that, 1) of the 20 students who did the test questions, only 6 students scored below the KKM, if the percentage of students who had completed were 70% (14 students) and the students who had not completed were 30% (6 students). ), 2) the types of difficulties experienced by students, namely the indicators of accuracy in determining the main idea of the paragraph, 3) based on the results of the interview, there are 3 factors that cause students to experience difficulties, namely, internal factors such as not understanding the main idea material, and the lack of student concentration. External factors, namely teachers do not use special models or methods for the main idea material, the use of limited learning media which causes students to feel bored during the learning process. The approach factor, namely the learning approach taken by the parents of students at home, of course, has a different approach, which means that each student has the ability and gets different results in the learning process.
