Abstract

Perubahan penyelenggaraan diklat PAUD dari tatap muka yang diikuti oleh peserta secara langsung dan tidak teratur menjadi diklat dalam jaringan sebagai usaha untuk memenuhi persyaratan mentor sebagai pendamping untuk memiliki kemampuan membantu peserta pelatihan, terutama dalam mengakses dan menguasai bahan ajar. Usaha untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mentor tersebut perlu dilakukan melalui pelatihan mentor yang diselenggarakan secara blended learning. Melalui kegiatan tersebut, maka akan menjembatani kesulitan memahami bahan ajar dan memperkuat mentor dalam menguasai kemampuan pendampingan. Didasarkan atas hal tersebut, maka kajian ini ditujukan untuk “Pengembangan model pelatihan mentor melalui blended learning untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pendampingan diklat PAUD dalam jaringan”. Kajian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan terhadap sebanyak 31 (tiga puluh satu) calon mentor yang ada di 31 Kecamatan Kabupaten Bandung. Alat pengumpul data menggunakan angket, wawancara, dan test. pengujian data kuantitatif hasil eksperimen dilakukan melalui the one group pretest-posttest design. Hasil kajian ini dapat disimpulkan ke dalam hal-hal sebagai berikut: 1) Pelatihan mentor secara khusus belum diselenggarakan secara sistematis, padahal tugas yang dimilikinya termasuk berat; 2) Pengembangan model pelatihan mentor melalui blended learning dilakukan dengan tahapan menghimpun konsep model berdasarkan kondisi pelatihan yang ada dan berasarkan konsep teoritik yang relevan, uji ahli dan konten pelatihan, uji empirik di lapangan, dan pengujian model pelatihan; 3) Implementasi model berkaitan dengan fokus dan prosedur dalam penyusunan disain, pelaksanaan pelatihan, dan penilaian penerapan model; dan 4) Hasil uji verifikasi terhadap model yang dikembangkan menunjukkan signifikan. The change of direct and irregular face to face PAUD training to online training becomes an effort to meet the recruitment of mentor as assistant to accommodate participants in accessing and mastering teaching materials. The efforts to improve mentor competence needs to be done through mentor training with blended learning. The activities in blended learning accommodate participants to overcome the difficulty in understanding teaching materials and reinforce the mentors in mastering mentoring skills. Therefrom, this study is aimed at “developing mentor training model through blended learning to improve online PAUD training competence.” This study was conducted using research and development method addressed to 31 prospective mentors in 31 districts of Bandung regency. Questionnaire, interview, and test were used as instruments for data collection. The examination of quantitative data from the experiments was conducted using one group pretest-posttest design. The results of the study are summarized into several points, which are: 1. Specific mentor training has not been carried out systematically, even though the tasks are considerably formidable; 2. The development of mentor training model with blended learning is carried out through several stages, including collecting model concepts based on existed training condition and relevant theoretical concept, expert judgement and training content, empirical field test, and testing training models. 3. Implementation of model relates to the focus and procedures in composing design, conducting training, and evaluating the application of the model; and 4. The results of verification tests on the developed models are significant.
